Last night, on November 29th, 2023, my husband and I were eager to dine at Haim Chicken after exploring various islands. Excited to try something new, we decided to give this restaurant a go.
Regrettably, our experience was disappointing due to the lack of enthusiasm displayed by the staff. We ordered the Beef Nilaga and Sinigang na Bangus from the menu.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food fell far below expectations. The beef in my husband's dish was disappointingly chewy, while the potato remained uncooked. My dish, the Sinigang na Bangus, was nothing short of revolting. Noticing the fish pieces were oddly stuck together initially seemed peculiar, but hunger led me to overlook it. The soup was flavorful, yet my husband's dish tasted heavily of artificial seasoning.
The situation worsened when I realised the fish was still raw upon attempting to chew the skin. It prompted me to bring it to the attention of the staff, expressing my concern about the rawness of the food. Despite my frustration, I remained polite, asking them to ensure proper cooking of the meal.
Subsequently, upon further inspection, I discovered remaining translucent portions of the fish in the soup bowl, indicating its undercooked state. This compelled me to once again express my dissatisfaction at the front desk, even demonstrating the uncooked nature of the fish when blood emerged upon poking it. The staff were apologetic, offering to replace the meal instantly. However, I declined their gesture of a dessert and made it clear that it would be my last visit to their establishment due to the unacceptable...
Read moreWe were curious to try the food here so we tried their branch located inside Robinson's.
Being a fast food chain just like Mang Inasal, their place can get quite cramped so if you have a toddler or a baby, we can suggest to dine in on their tables outside for better ventilation.
One thing that you will notice as soon as you come in to this branch is that staffs and crews lacks the welcoming vibe, they don't greet and smile at customers (which is experienced by others as well).
Tried to observe it because they might just be overwhelmed by the number of diners they cater but that was not the case.
We tried to ask for assistance because the chicken they served to the both of us was still raw and when the staff who attended us confirmed and saw that there is still uncooked blood in the chicken, the first response she gave to us was "Papapalitan nyo po ba?" We just immediately responded yes because we have an 18 month old baby who is also eating with us.
Nonetheless, the food served to us taste good but I find it quite on the overpriced side because one order of their Chicken Inato (as seen on the photo) cost Php180 already and the Pancit Canton ranges the same price as well.
We loved the food and recommend for others to try them...
Read moreWe enjoyed our dinner very much. It was our first time to try their Grilled Isol and Bam-e noodles. Highly recommended dishes. Reasonable prices for the servings. The 2 sticks of isol were enough for a hungry tummy. The order of noodles can be good for 3 people. The downside: the 30-minute wait for your food to be served is a bit long. Also, the tables and chairs can do some changing. Medyo mabigat at old-fashioned na. Configuration of seats/tables can be improved, as well. Puro "long" tables. Counter and restaurant crew are helpful. Overall, a recommend dining place because of their tasty food. Thumbs up 👍 for maintaining the traditional taste of your chicken. Talagang...
