The staff at the reception is very nice, we checked in just a few hours ago. That is why I was so surprised that the service and staff at the restaurant is HORRENDOUS!

The bar and restaurant apparently don't know how to stock properly as nothing is available (like drinks and half of the food menu). That by itself is not a problem, however, the staff won't tell you upfront that nothing is available. When you order, they come 5 minutes later to tell you that nothing on the menu is available.

At the bar, I first ordered a mango cocktail and was told 5 minutes later there was no mango, so I chose a Cosmopolitan and, once again, after 5 minutes I was told that there was no cranberries so I had to pick the final third cocktail and miraculously ... THEY HAD IT! PRAISE THE LORD.

Now onto dinner, this is where the fun begins .... Ordered a Caesar salad to share, but the waiter had to check if it was available, fair enough. They had it so no problem.

My husband ordered the Adobo Hot Chili Pork Ribs, The waiter returned 10 minutes later to inform us that the ribs were not available and he recommended to order the Chef Noy's Beef Tapa which we did ... Only for the waiter to return again after 10 minutes saying that the dish that HE RECOMMENDED was not available either .... When we asked the waiter if he could point out on the menu what was available, he only got annoyed with us and refused to tell us what was available from the menu, he just wanted us to make a choice without knowing if it was available.

When I pointed out that his behaviour was unprofessional he just shrugged and did not care at all. Not even an apology no nothing, just pure indifference and he just blamed the kitchen. It seems that this waiter does not enjoy his job and from our experience, this person should not have a job where he faces the public.

The staff at the reception and the spa was really nice, which is why we were surprised by the callous attitude of the staff at the bar/restaurant. It is a shame that this bad experience at the restaurant will be the only thing we will remember from this hotel and we have only been here for 4 hours which does not bode well for the rest of...

La-ud has some genuinely good food—we especially enjoyed the beef rendang, apple salad, pesto pasta, and caridea de ajillo. However, our experience was spoiled by a couple of serious issues that really shouldn’t be happening in any restaurant.

One of the dishes we ordered, fish fillet in papillote, was unfortunately served raw in the middle. When we raised this with the staff, we were met with indifference rather than concern.

Things took an even worse turn when a baby cockroach crawled across our table, and I had to kill it with a napkin. We notified the server immediately, and his only response was: “Hindi naman po dumaan sa pagkain?”/“But it didn’t crawl on the food?” I gave him the napkin and he walked away—no further action, no apology, no alerting the manager or other staff.

We had to call for the manager ourselves. He was slightly apologetic and mentioned that they sanitize every day, but may have “missed today.” While he did apologize, the response overall felt underwhelming given the situation.

This place clearly has potential in the kitchen, but the hygiene and service standards we experienced today were disappointing. I hope management takes this seriously—guests...

If there's a -1 star, that would be my rating. Very bad experience. Brought my mother in law visiting from the states for a nice lunch. Turned out to be a nightmare. Drinks were served 20 minutes after ordering it. Supposed to be a lemongrass ginger cooler, but tasted like an orange cool ade. Server told me that kitchen can't make my order after already waiting for 30 minutes. My mom in laws food came which is a shrimp mango salad that has only 3 pcs of shrimp, my sister ordered the kaldereta and threw up after eating it. Carioca is very disappointing. Bad representation of filipino food. C'mon Palawan. We can do better than this. Not...

Ate here several times while staying at the Hue Hotel. Started off every morning with their buffet breakfast which had a nice mix of Filipino and Western dishes. Restaurant is open early and stays open late. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. The outside area is nice to relax and have drinks from the outside bar. If you order food while at the pool or bar upstairs, they'll deliver your food to you. Prices were reasonable and good quality for the convenience at the hotel. Same great service here as the rest of the hotel.

La Ud restaurant, located at the Hue Hotel is fantastic. We had their crispy pork binagoongan (shrimp paste sauce), Spicy Squid adobo and halo-halo. These dishes were so good I’m gonna be dreaming about them after I check out of the hotel for sure! We’ve also tried a lot of their cocktails and they make them pretty potent, no skimping on alcohol, you leave pretty giddy after a couple. The best part about this place is the wonderful service. The restaurant and bar manager Jay is an awesome guy and all the staff are absolutely fantabulous!
