The best pares we had so far when it comes to tenderness and price point. Some were cheaper but not as good as this. Just don't expect too much since this restaurant looks really old, like it was built on the 90s and hasn't gone on any renovations yet. The parking is really a hassle since it's on the streets, not stree-side parking. There’s always w line of cars parked outside so we already parked on the Alberto's side but when we asked the kuya, he mentioned that "it should be fine since the lane being parked is not being used anyways", weird but since it was raining so we gave it a try. Next time we can park at the Wilcon parking area since it's just across it. What amazes us was the fast service, it's a pay-as-you-order setup but as when I just finished saying our order and it was already being served on a tray at the same counter. Daig pa ang fastfood sa bilis! Their pares was sulit that sometimes my husband would order extra rice. Their mami was just okay, need to add seasoning. As per their siomai, it's too sweet...

Their pares (around 100 to 110 Php) here is different as the soup or sauce is of a much thinner consistency. I was surprised since I was used to the pares at Retiro. Nevertheless it's quite good with nice flavor and tender meat (but does not have the anise flavor from other places). The garlic rice is served tastefully in the classic style of rice, garlic chips and green onions.
The special Mami (Php 105) has beef pares and a piece of siomai. The noodles are al dente, but the soup was not as tasty as I'd hoped as the broth is not mixed with a bit of pares sauce. Still, it was pretty good.
Their chili garlic sauce...
Read moreFinally got to try after quite a few attempts. Among all the paresan that I had, this one stand out. Not too oily, not too fatty, and the pares flavor is just great. The garlic rice is perfect, you need 2 servings of it. The chili garlic that cones with it is awesome. The siomai? Fat and chunky.. all perfect with an iced softdrinks of your choice. Priced reasonably well. The dining area can get crowded but diners are on the go so most likely you'll grab a chair after you order. Accepts cash and gcash. Parking is very limited, come in on a weekend...
