One of the best affordable restaurants in Metro Manila. Food here is great and reasonably priced for the amount they give you. It's the perfect place to eat good food with the family without breaking the bank. Food here is comfort Food that is served hot and fast.
As the name says, the food served here are the typical food you can eat at the small streetside eateries in Hong Kong - from fishballs on sticks to rice dishes on small claypots, to noodle soups and laksa. They also have a wide selection of drinks - fresh fruit shakes, veggie shakes, all kinds of gulaman and milk tea. You can get a small cup or a really big cup if you are real thirsty.
I've been eating here for years, alone for a quick meal, or with family and friends on a weekend dine out.
I usually order the claypot rice dishes, specifically the chicken and mushroom, or the sparerib, or the beef tendon. They're all good!
This time, though, I ordered their beef wanton mami as I was craving for some noodle soup for a long time. I also ordered asado sioapao which are 2 pieces per order.
When my beef wanton noodle soup arrived I already knew it would be good. The beef, wanton and noodles were on a separate plate and the soup came piping hot in a big bowl. You put in the noodles and the meats when you are going to eat it already.
The broth was perfect. The beef was tender and very tasty. The wanton were good too. The asadp siopao was great, especially with some chili sauce. I finished everything and I was stuffed. It was a great meal.

Read moreOne of my go-to stores for affordable quality Chinese food. While some of the ala carte options like the chicken innards and dimsums might a bit overpriced, the quality compensates for premium prices. What I would recommend is to get their rice dishes like the salted egg chicken rice. This is by far the best I have tasted. The cereal chicken is a bit bland at times. Claypot rice dishes, I heard, are good too. But, never ever leave this place without enjoying their desserts (which could also serve as snacks) and beverages. The hole-in-the-wall ambience pays homage to the humble Chinese restaurants of old. But, they could improve a bit more on their overall cleanliness since some of the tables are greasy. The smell of fried dishes overpower the actual aroma of their great tasting food.
Parking is also a challenge in this area. So if you can order via FoodPanda or Grab, that would be a better option. Published prices in these food delivery services are quite close to actual store prices.

Read moreAmbience: It's a really bright restaurant and don't be fooled by the space you see from outside. Once you enter, turn right, walk passed the rest room and you'll see much much extra dine-in space. I noticed they posted a list of out-off-stock items, like pig ears, right above one spot where the food comes from.
Food: Duck Liver Sausage & Big Isaw were pretty oily but delicious despite the latter's scent. I drank hot water afterwards. Pork Century Egg Congee was good especially with added soy sauce and calamansi. The mush already had a mildly delicious flavor. I suggest eating the chips right away so they'll still be crunchy.
Service: Waiting time was very reasonable. The only slip-up was one waitress forgot to bring the water I requested, so I asked someone who looked less preoccupied instead. Paying the bill was also quick.
I'm likely to return because they have a big menu and there's so much I still want to try. Actually, the area has a nice number of restaurants and...
