Went here on Saturday Evening. Not so busy so we were able to enter immediately. The entire feel is like we went back in time in the united states to a local diner that serves fried and grilled foods.

We ordered food for the 2 of us (around 3 dishes and one milkshake for sharing). The Onion Steamed 1950s Burger, Buffalo Wings, Onion Fritters, and a chocolate milkshake. They have also service water.

Waiting for the food was super quick, we were able to get all of them in around 15 minutes or less. They also even cut the burger as per my request since me and my girlfriend is sharing the whole meal.

The burger here is one of the tastiest and delicious burgers I've tried in my entire life. The onion gives a good subtle flavor that goes together with the gooey cheese. The burger is pure beef which is for sure made in house. It's already enough for one burger to fill up one person but better with accommodating sides.

The onion fritters were crispy and the mayo dipping sauce go so well together. The buffalo wings almost had the same sauce as the fritters and wow their buffalo sauce is amazing and hot. The wings were also huge.

Finally, the milkshake tasted very creamy and chocolatey. My girlfriend said she saw them used Hershey Chocolate in it. One qualm I would have though is to have the milkshake glass be a bit wider.

They have free parking here for both Car and Motorcycle (Devour Food Hub). They have a public CR inside the food hub too.

The staff were so nice and accommodating. Accompanied by Music around the 60s - 80s era. I didn't hear any 50s music during our visit. Will visit again once we crave good and...

Gela and I recently enjoyed a hearty lunch at this restaurant, which embraces the classic, laidback, and casual vibe of a diner. It's the perfect place for those craving classic burgers, cheesesteaks, and fries.

We ordered the following dishes:

  1. Philly Cheesesteak - (₱425) Served warm on a hoagie roll, generously loaded with beef and cheese whiz. Flavors blended well, and I devoured it in less than three minutes. Comes with crispy chips, although some were a bit saltier than others.

  2. 1940s Patty Melt - (₱375) A satisfying portion size with nicely buttered, non-burnt bread. The beef and onion combo tasted excellent, and both flavors came through. Served with fried pickles, which were good, but they could have been left unfried to reduce the overall greasiness of the patty melt. Bonus points for not cutting the sides off the bread, according to Gela.

  3. Angus Chili Fries - (₱345) A treat for those with low spice tolerance. The heat gradually builds up, making it a nice side dish and a break from the main course. Like the chips in the cheesesteak, the fries were crispy and fluffy, though they can get a bit soggy if left in the sauce for too long.

In summary, we had a great experience at this restaurant and would consider returning to explore the dessert menu, particularly the Apple Pie. While the interior was a bit warm, it could have been due to the heat in Quezon City. Keep in mind that they are located inside the Devour Food Hub, which has limited open parking slots to accommodate...

It may be a lowball to grade this 3/5 but it’s on the quality of burger they serve is my concern. I’ve tasted a lot of burgers in and out of the philippines and overall, hackansack is great. Just needs a few refinements.

My concerns are: The bun theyre using are just a regular bun u can buy at a sari sari store. Bc of that, it gets soggy and mushy when served. The patty is great but it falls apart. Probably the balance of fat and meat aren’t good. Considering it’s smash burger, I haven’t experienced any crust on its sides It is no doubt theyre using beef, you can taste it. The problem is it’s solely beef only you can taste. its somehow under-seasoned bc u can only taste beef juice, thats it. Lastly, not that big of a deal but the way its grounded isn’t fine enough. One probable reason why the patty falls apart.

Other than that it was a good experience—not for the price considering the things i mentioned above. The milkshake is okay, kinda too sweet with the condensed. The fries are on point. The vibe is great.

Ps. I went abt an hour before they close, i suspect the owner was there since they were the ones seated by the corner with a bottle of scotch. Along with them probably are their children and their friends, which were all over the place (considering its small). Maybe you can do a ‘party/gathering’ after business hours but til then, keep the vibe nice and comfy...
