From a household name to a commercially tasteless restaurant. Fruitaz has managed to make a facelift of the place making the ambiance and interior stand out and keep up with the Giants, but somehow, they turned one of the best known noodles places into a place where "I used to eat."
It took us 45 minutes to get our food, there were only 4 or 5 tables at the time and most of them were already eating.
Most of the things that we wanted to order were not available.
The wanton noodles. Oh the wanton noodles, I loved how it used to be. Now the wanton noodles is just boiled water with 2% flavor. I couldnt say its not good because it is not anything. Flavorless 100% good thing they have soy sauce to save the day.
Serving sizes also scaled down from titanic to a small fishing boat with a flavorless broth.
Server staff forgot to call our order that is why it took so long. Manager is very inexperienced as she did not know how to run her team. She micro managed a lot while being clueless about a lot things that are happening on the floor giving out generic answers like, palabas na po, follow up ko every.... Freakinggg.... Timeeeee.
Verdict: This place is another USED TO BE.
Not going back here again.. Bad food and...
Read more6 Nov 2023, around 14:30. There were two of us. Only two other tables were occupied when we arrived. We ordered hakaw, birthday noodles, their signature fried chicken, and--because the calamansi iced tea was not available--two bottles of calamansi juice for dine-in and two asado siopao to go. all of whcih arrived within a very reasonable wait time of about ten minutes. The service crew were quick on their feet; they stood at strategic places when not serving customers. Among the crew was a deaf guy who cleaned tables with efficiency. The restroom was clean as well. having skipped lunch that day, we managed to finish off what we ordered, although the serving size could have easily been for 3 people. The bill came up to about 1,220 PHP (610 PHP each), but the value-for-money ratio is great. I will eat here again if I ever have business in the area, and I definitely recommend coming here to dine with friends or family. #LingNam...
Read moreWe had to request for the serviettes to be topped up as both serviette holders on our table were empty. The ambient music was a little loud that a man 3 tables away from us had to speak loudly into his phone while the others at the same table had to talk loudly to each other. When we began ordering, there was only about 3 tables being occupied while there were about 6 service crew all crowding at the counter - except for one waitress, the rest weren’t really attentive. Our first dish was served - siomai, but without cutlery - we had to request for this as well. We requested for calamansi, and was given 8 but without saucers. The waiter was singly loudly into my mother’s ear while he poured the pot of tea. In summary, all our dim sum felt like it was overcooked/left on the steamer for many days as the texture was mushy - hakaw, siomai, chicken...
