Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen at UP Town Center is a standout choice for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. Our dining experience included a delightful array of dishes such as Linguine Spinachi with Capers and Salmon, Lasagna, Mama's Fried Chicken, Italian Roast Chicken, and Mama Lou's Special Thin Crust Pizza. The Linguine Spinachi stood out as a personal favorite, thanks to its well-cooked salmon and crispy salmon skin that added a unique twist to the pasta sauce. While the Lasagna could use a hint of sweetness and more savory flavors, Mama's Fried Chicken lacked distinctive seasoning in its plain breading. On a positive note, Mama Lou's Special Thin Crust Pizza lived up to expectations, blending bacon, spinach, and mango in a way that pleased the taste buds. However, the Italian Roast Chicken, despite its price, fell short with a small portion size and a basic taste and presentation. Despite a bit of a slowdown in service, especially considering the moderate occupancy, the attentive crew made amends by accommodating all our requests. In conclusion, Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen deserves a spot on your list of go-to restaurants when exploring UP Town Center, offering a mix of delightful dishes and a cozy atmosphere.

If you find my review helpful please give it a like 👍 and follow me for more reviews. 1. Food - Delicious italian cuisine in which dishes are meticulously cooked and articulately served. There is a free bread by request only. I forgot the name of the bread tho but you can ask them politely. If you are looking for legit Italian foods, this is the right place for you. 2. Service - Their service is great. Due to pandemic you need to fill up the health declaration form first then have your temperature scanned. After that they will guide you for any available seats. Dont worry their seats and tables are sanitized every after customer use. 3. Value for Money - The foods are quite affordable most specifically if you will eat as a group or family. Because their servings are good for 2. Except for the rice meals. You can probably eat here for small celebrations and for casual dates and dinner. It is worth it. If you have leftover you can give it to the servers or have it for take out. For dates budget probably is 1000 below. For group meals, 3000 is more than enough. Follow me for more reviews. ☺

We made a reservation on the same day via Facebook for a group of 8 and they attended to us quickly which is appreciated. We’re always keen to go to Mama Lous for Italian comfort food, however the service for today was chaotic :/ We would ask servers for something like condiments, arugula for pizza, extra orders of soda however it took way too long for those requests to get back to our table and we would have to ask different servers to follow up which is disappointing :( Imagine waiting for your condiments for a long time before getting to finally eat :/ Taste of the food is very good and consistent as usual but the service today was not the best. Commend Jonathan for being the best server though. He was very fast and proactive (gave us a box of tissues cause our table didnt have one) Edit: we also were offered the Happy (?) card and availed it but we weren’t told that it’s only a digital card. Would be nice to have stated in the beginning that it’s not a physical card. Thank you!

I love this branch a lot. And I love to create special memories in Mama Lou's because the pasta here is just delightful! As a pasta lover, ever since I discovered Mama Lou's I fell in love with their pasta. And the serving's proportions are big it's always good for sharing! Their pizza is also to die for esp the spinach and goat's cheese pizza and it's good to pair with their hot honey. They also never fail to give us their great quality customer service. Although the branch is a bit small because this store gets crowded in busy hours but I still love this branch because of their excellent service. Plus what makes Mama Lou's fun is they do an endless pasta promotion! I can say that Mama Lou's is one of my favorite restos! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Pretty good Itallian restaurant with lots of branches. Can get noisy during peak hours (esp. dinnertime) but it's tolerable. Staff are friendly and attentive. The branch at UP Town Center is rather small so it can get crowded. Please make reservations ahead of time esp. for large groups. Servings are large and good for sharing, even their rice dishes such as the burger steak. They serve focaccia bread with dips before meals so that's a plus. We would recommend their starter platter, with chicken, calamares, fries and sausages. Their salads are also good. All in all, a good place for families to dine in.

Come to Mama Lou's for the food. I really like it as it allows me to have italian fare without the intimidation which fine dining usually comes with. Dishes are straightforward and extremely enjoyable. Prices are ok, reasonable for the quality and taste. The complimentary bread is always a welcome treat. They give you more if you ask. I sometimes get the steak, and go back time and again. But when I took these photos for this review, I got the spinach artichoke dip (ok), the clam chowder (excellent) and the carbonara (ok). Servers are helpful and polite.
