The breads and pastries here are of decent quality. Whenever you visit, make sure to always check the discounted section for good value breads. They are not the most fresh, but the taste is almost the same as the freshly made ones. Without the discounts, most pastries will seem a bit expensive.

Egg tarts are good too, but doesn't hold a candle to Lord Stow's which is less than a 5 minute drive away. Haven't tried the cakes, though they look really promising.

Been here twice and, on both occasions, the shelves were almost half empty. What I did get was good but not exceptional. What I came back for the 2nd time was not available so that ended up a wasted trip. I visited the 1st time because reviews said it's an institution and old photos showed fully stocked shelves.
