Upon getting a seat, Scan QR on the table for the menu. Its a 5 table 20 seater place so its gonna take a while to get a seat during a rush. There's a refrigerated case of marinated meat and veggies in skewer you can check before ordering. ShaoKao is a street style barbecue grilling restaurant where you get to see your food before you buy it making it an interactive experience. Did find the meat on the skewer to be on the smaller side. Smaller cuts means it cooks quickly. more marinade and spices on the surface. Hence my first bite was full of flavor. Smoky, savory and a spicy which admittedly pairs well with an ice cold beer. Level up the taste of your food. Look for the Shaokao mixed spice seaoning shaker on the table and sprinkle it all over your food. They open late in the afternoon till midnight. Parking is a bit hard so its mostly street parking. Place is small so expect a line outside the store. Only downside is once people get their liquor, it does get noisy. If you want a quiet meal... Read moreFood is great. Has a moderate amount of selection, 90% of them are skewers. Some are pure veggies while others are meat. Dont order too much on your first order though, cause the marinade for all the skewers taste the same.
Service is good. The staff are fast though since place is small.
Atmosphere is ok. Place looks like a regular restaurant that is just pure white. But I will note that place looks really clean.
Fyi, parking might be a hassle for those with cars.

Taste is FAR from china’s shaokao. Maybe im looking for that five spice - cumin taste that was really addictive and delicious. Which was different / not present in this bbq.
Their shaokao powder felt more like a mala powder + mala sauce rather than a shaokao spice.
