Sizzle Kitchen and Café was easy enough to find, though I do think their location is a bit small and parking can be challenging. Luckily, when we visited, there was still a spot available for us. The menu has limited options, but we decided to go with the Fried Chicken in Japanese Curry Sauce and the Pepper Pork in Classic Gravy Sauce. We also tried their drinks—the Frozen Strawberry Yogurt and Iced Tea—which were not only refreshing but also served in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Their concept of serving dishes on a sizzling plate might be their main selling point, but personally, it wasn’t for me. I find it hard to enjoy food when it’s too hot, as it ruins my palate, so I had to wait for it to cool down before I could really appreciate the flavors. Once I did, I enjoyed the side vegetables the most—they were crunchy, fresh, and had a subtle sweetness that balanced the meal well.

For the mains, the pork wasn’t something I’d eat on its own; it really needed the sauce to bring out its flavor. The fried chicken, on the other hand, was seasoned well enough to stand alone without sauce, though some parts were a bit chewy, which my partner didn’t enjoy. He did, however, like the Japanese curry sauce paired with the chicken.

Overall, Sizzle Kitchen and Café is worth a try if you’re curious about their sizzling plate concept. While it may not have been the best fit for my personal preference, the sides and sauces stood out, and the drinks were definitely...

We ate here twice this week already to try some items off their menu. Food: Mushroom soup - thicker consistency, but what I liked the most is that it has a lot of mushrooms in it. It is creamy and not salty, fit for my liking.

Sizzling Pepper Beef w/ Japanese curry - it has the spicy kick. The amount of curry sauce is just right for the rice. Beef slices are soft to chew.

Sizzling Angus Beef Belly w/ classic gravy - their gravy pairs well with the beef and the meat is easy to chew and break down. Their gravy is not to salty, not nakakaumay. Pairs well with rice and veggies.

Iced tea - Not too sweet which I liked.

Their food portions are the right amount. They also offer spices if you need any adjustments to your food. You will feel full, hindi sobra hindi kulang. Ambiance is so good, and the place is cool and clean. No sticky or oily floors. They have attentive and super friendly staff. They keep the place and table clean once you are done.

Price point is mid. I would say it is justified with portion sizes and cheaper compared to Pepper Lunch.

Overall, we had a great time and experience. 4 stars for now, as they can still improve on food availability especially for dinner time (eg. Sizzling Pepper Pork would be sold-out by dinner). We recommend this place and would come...

The Ambient of the place has a chill vibes to it and is well air conditioned. The quality of the food is Immaculate especially the beef belly paired with the japanese curry gravy(100%MUST TRY)that has an unreal texture that it literally melts in your mouth while the Japanese gravy enchances the flavor of the dish while not overpowering the flavor of the beef belly . The coffee that i tried is the iced coconut black is pretty refreshing and is perfect for cleansing your pallet after eating the beef belly. The Price of the food ranges from 300-400 and is onpar with the quality of the food and serving size. After ordering, the food arrived after 10 Mins considering the place is pretty packed when i visited. The staff is very accommodating and well trained. 100%...

New 2-floor restaurant along Maginhawa serving a lean menu of sizzling items. Al fresco dining area on 1F and air-conditioned dining on 2F, clean bathroom, friendly and accommodating staff, OK food, cash and gcash only, no card payment. Ordered the shakshouka (450) and sizzling pepper pork w/ Japanese curry (275), total of 725 for two, no drinks. Menu says shakshouka serves 3-4 but the serving is a bit too small for that, esp for the price, also quite salty. Sizzling pork was OK but expect if you get the curry gravy, all you really taste is (generic JP pre-made) curry, can't hardly taste the pork. At least cheaper than Pepper Lunch; may come back to try classic gravy and the apple-peach crumble dessert.
