A newbie barista at around 11:53 PM last 11/19/2021 incorrectly processed charges for 2 drinks in 1 Transaction ID. She was only supposed to process an add-on charge for Vanilla but billed me with the cost of 2 beverages. No eSticker transaction was given but I was given additional stars in my account. Waited to be assisted for more than 30 mins. standing on the line. because she was incompetent and inefficient which caused the delay.
Initially had Php 385 balance in my card and the crew asked me to scan it for the payment. Left me with Php 200.00 balance right after. Then I mentioned that she didn't charge the Vanilla add-on so she asked me to scan it again, which charged the second Chai Tea cost instead of just the add-on for another Php 185. I had to reload after the 2 transactions cause the 3rd charge supposedly with the correct amount of Php205 can no longer be covered by a Php15 balance in my card due to 2 incorrect transaction charges.
The manager on duty (Ms. Cadiz) offered to process 1 more transaction and advised that she will report the issue to helpdesk or something to request a refund for the two Php185 (total of Php370) charges which was not supposed to happen in the first place. She got my card details and wrote down my name and contact information at the back of a receipt. I waited and has not been contacted so I returned at the store after 3 days. To my surprise, she mentioned that she forgot to follow-up and check back with me. The issue has not been resolved for the past 9 days and I was advised that I should see the card balance update after 24hrs. I have been billed for something I did not receive due to the fault of one employee who clearly needed retraining and now I wait with no reference number, no nothing to receive the refund worth 2 drinks, just plain trust that the manager really processed the request for refund. Read moreThis happened last week (March 30, 2025), around 11 PM to 1 AM, I think. A coffee shop is supposed to have a chill and cozy vibe where you can relax. But when I went there with my friends, the people at the tables on both sides of us were so squammy.
On our left, the group was chatting and laughing sooo loud. I get that they’re friends and probably haven’t seen each other in a while, deep conversations and catching up are totally fine. But damn, they were so inconsiderate of everyone else in the Starbucks.
On our right, the group wasn’t loud, but they were acting like they were at home. They took off their shoes and had their feet up on the sofa like they had no manners at all.
The worst part? There were a lot of staff inside the Starbucks, but no one bothered to say anything. I was about to complain, but my friend asked me to calm down, so we just stepped outside for some peace and quiet.
