📍 Restaurant Review: Gerry’s Grill – Robinsons Antipolo Branch
Date of Visit: Early July 2025, around 1:30 PM Purpose of Visit: Family lunch gathering Location & Accessibility: Gerry’s Grill is conveniently located inside Robinsons Antipolo, making it easily accessible whether you’re coming by private car or public transport. The restaurant is situated on one of the mall’s open corridors, and its bright signage with a fish logo is hard to miss. The phrase “You’d still rather be at Gerry’s” glows warmly on the exterior wall, inviting diners in.
Parking & External Environment: Being inside a large mall, parking is ample with both outdoor and covered options. Parking fees may apply depending on the duration. The entrance to Gerry’s is flat and wide, suitable for wheelchair users or strollers.

🌿 First Impressions & Ambience: Stepping into Gerry’s, the space feels spacious and airy. Light wood tones dominate the interior, from the tables and chairs to the paneled ceiling and decor, creating a homey and casual vibe. The abundance of glass and natural light enhances the freshness of the ambiance. Potted plants and hanging greenery offer a touch of tropical flair.
The restaurant includes a large private room space with sliding glass doors — perfect for groups, meetings, or special family events. Tables are moderately spaced, and despite being moderately busy during lunch hour, it didn’t feel overcrowded. Noise levels were lively but not disruptive. Air conditioning was well-maintained and the lighting was balanced for both day and evening dining.
The restrooms, although not shown, are typically maintained within mall standards — reasonably clean and functional.

👨🍳 Service & Staff: Staff members were friendly and responsive. We were greeted at the door and promptly guided to our table. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions for group-sized portions. Service was efficient without being rushed, and water refills and extra requests were handled with ease.
⸻
📖 Menu & Variety: Gerry’s menu is wide-ranging, focused primarily on Filipino comfort food with a good balance between meat, seafood, and vegetables. The menu is visually appealing with photos and large, readable fonts. Pricing is mid-range and portions are generous — great for sharing.
Key categories include: • Appetizers: From Lumpiang Shanghai to Calamares and Spicy Chicken Wings • Soups & Veggies: Nilagang Bulalo, Sinigang, and Tortang Talong • Main Dishes: Beef Kare-Kare, Sizzling Sisig, Crispy Pata (offered in 3 sizes) • Seafood Favorites: Inihaw na Pusit, Blue Marlin, Sizzling Bangus • Rice & Noodles: Adobo Rice, Pancit Palabok, Pancit Canton • Desserts & Drinks: Halo-Halo, Ube Macapuno Delight, fresh fruit shakes, and local beers
⸻
🍽️ Food Quality: Though no dishes were shown served, based on the menu presentation and reputation, Gerry’s delivers on the hearty, bold flavors Filipinos love. Expect smoky grilled meats, rich savory sauces, and familiar comfort food executed well. Portion sizes are ideal for sharing, and several items (like Sizzling Sisig or Inihaw na Pusit) are known crowd-pleasers. Prices are generally between ₱250–₱645 per dish, making it an affordable yet satisfying option for group dining.
⸻
💸 Value for Money: With its generous portions, relaxing atmosphere, and broad menu, Gerry’s Grill offers excellent value for family-style dining. While prices may seem slightly above fast-casual chains, the quality and quantity more than justify the cost. There is an additional 8% service charge, which is clearly indicated on the menu.

• after a minute or 2, Ivan approached to take our orders: Crab Rice, Chop Suey (without any meat☝️), Tuna Kilaw, Sinigang Salmon Miso, Chili Cheese Sticks, Lumpiang Shanghai, Iced Tea (carafe). after verifying, he informed us that the food will be ready in 25-30 minutes. my initial reaction (internal) was, "WTF?!?😡" but then, i thought, the volume of pedestrians both within and outside the mall itself was heavier than usual, so i just replied, "okay, thank you." (side note: i think that it being a sunday/family day AND a payday weekend AND the first day of december AND a rainy day all contributed to the whole "maddening" [for me, at least] scenario. heck, parking alone took us at least 20 minutes to find a slot!)
• the food was great. we were satiated and full. but let me explain my overall 4-star rating despite giving Gerry's Grill perfect 5s in terms of the 3 criteria -- food, service and atmosphere -- laid out in this feedback form. no doubt, the food quality, taste and serving size of each individual item (appetizers and main dishes) are great. however, this does not apply to the restaurant's rice offering. Ivan said that the Crab Rice ("platter") is good for 2-3 people, but imo, it's only enough for 1-2. so, we ended up having to order extra. we wanted to get an additional platter of plain rice. unfortunately, we were told that, that was only offered by the bowl, which i found to be a bit "devious" (for lack of a better word). "is this one of those marketing tricks (ploys?) to make customers shell out more money?" was the question that was definitely going through my mind while i "surrendered" and agreed to order 2 bowls🤔 (side note: Crab Rice is apparently popular among their customers, but i didn't find it to be particularly tasty to justify its price.)
• after my PWD discount was applied, the final bill came to P2K+ for our party of 2. i was a bit on the fence as to whether or not it was worth the meal, but then again, this was to celebrate mama's special day, so i'm fine with it.
• in summary, Gerry's Grill is definitely a good option to dine in -- as a family, as a couple or simply by one's lonesome self -- to have great food, service and ambiance. but just make sure, you have the...
Read moreToday, we ate lunch here after a trip at Pinto Art Museum. My daughter ordered her favorite dish, sizzling sisig and crab rice, along with other dishes for us, adults. Fan ako ng Gerry’s Grill and have visited most of their branches here in manila when I come home, even their branch in California. Dito sa Robinson’s Antipolo, my first and probably, my last!!!
We asked the leftovers to be wrapped to take home. We had other places to go so when we reached home, my 10 year old daughter who is type 1 diabetic, asked for her sisig. When we opened the take away bag, all dishes were mixed together - rice, crab rice, sisig, grilled pusit and pinakbet! Parang pagkain ng hayop! Ano akala nila sa amin, mga baboy?!!!
I was fuming mad! Tumaas talaga blood pressure ko! Sugod kami sa antipolo. Money is not an issue! What is upsetting is that I paid for the service and service charge tapos nag-tip pa ako, yet ganito customer service marereceive ko! And the worst part is, ang anak ko, she was so disappointed.
I commend PM shift Manager Winnie who was so understanding and accommodating. I apologized for my outburst pero I wasn’t able to hide my anger. No questions asked, they refunded me my bill. Although she offered me a take away, sabi ko, hindi na. Request ko lang, have to train their staff coz if not, it will ruin their image.
Good luck sa nag wrap ng food, may CCTV sa kitchen. Next time, be mindful. Kahit naman siguro sino, maiinis makita na yung pinabalot Mo food, pinaghahalo halo!
Thanks, Ms Winnie for handling the issue well. I have come personally, hindi naman ako nag iskandalo, but apologies narinig ng ibang customers.
