I'm only rating it 4 stars just because the place is quite cramped. Casual, not very intimate. And since the space is small and the tables are in close proximity with each other, one can just easily overhear what the people in the next table are talking about. Some people do not have the sense of privacy when sharing stuff to their companion/s.
5 tables in total on the main floor, but there's a "happy hour" lounge area/KTV upstairs which is only open at night.
Most people don't mind, but personally, I'd prefer considerable distances between tables. There are tables for 2, for four, for a family.
In terms of accessibility, the place is located along the road, across SM San Fernando City, La Union. If you have personal cars, there's ample space for parking. If you commute, okay lang din. Pag-para, Frania agad.
When it comes to food, my best friend and I ordered Honey Truffle Eggplant Chips, now my favorite appetizer in Frania (I'd love to go back some time in the future, planning to bring my family); the Summer Salad; some pasta, I forgot now which one we shared; and lemon and lime cooler for drinks. All in all, they are all delectable. Five stars for the food!
The server was polite and accommodating; pleasant to talk to, and tried to answer inquiries. Even voluntarily offered to take out photos when we were trying to take some selfies.
Glad they don't play music too loud because like I said, the area was small and it's hard enough to maintain a private conversation.
If you're around the Biday area, or are planning for a hearty lunch date, Frania Cafe and Lounge Bar is highly recommended! āāāāā

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love how cozy this place is. SM is just next door, so I imagine itāll get busier once it opens in September. I came here for coffee and would've ordered food if I hadnāt already pigged out a few blocks away. Their menu looks delectableāand the prices are reasonable. Not the usual food truck food usually served in La Union restaurants.
I noticed their dishware from the next tableāfancy stuff with gold trimmings. Classy.
Iām a black coffee kind of person, and their iced Americano was exactly what I needed. This is the kind of coffee shop that hands you cold water as soon as you sit down. IYKYK.
They even have free Wi-Fiāonly noticed it on the menu a few minutes before leaving.
My only gripe? The plastic cups. I get that theyāre probably more cost-effective than mugs, but I really hope someday they'd offer that option for dine-in customers.
The shop has two floors. I started upstairs, but had to retreat to the ground floor because of some enthusiastic KTV singers. Downstairs had a much more chill vibe.
Overall, Iām definitely coming back if within...
