Grumpy Joe will make you Grumpy!

My Family went to Pampanga to try the the overrated Grumpy Joe. Their resto is Clean and spacious. The Food is okay, it has a big serving , however there's nothing special with the food. We have ordered 8pieces chicken for the price of 700+, the served big chicken thigh but the taste is blunt, the spaghetti is "soupy" (haha) we can also see big slices of carrots and bell pepper; not sure if this great but we find it not appetizing. On a good side, their pizza is great, i recommend ordering their 5 cheese and the Grumpy Joe Pizza. For their service, if can give them negative point, i would do so. When we enter the restaurant, no body greeted us they just point out our table and give us the menu, when we ordered i don't feel the courtesy coming from our server. When I asked for service water, they mentioned that they don't serve service water and their inhouse water cost 40 php per bottler, since we have kids, we have our own water (bought outside in Shell Select), I politely asked the Manager if we can borrow empty glass/cup, but he mentioned that we need to buy drinks for us to have it, they have a protocol of 1:1, 1 bought drinks for 1 Glass/Cup. Aside from this, all of the server doesn't feel happy or welcoming to the guest, they will take your orders, but leave right away even reconfirming your order or asking if there's anything else. Also they are not tentative to the needs of the guest, It will took 2-5mins before they attend to their guest even they are only in the bar area and doing nothing. however, would like to make an exemption to server Rod, which is very accommodating to needs of the guest, he even roam around to ask if all orders are served or not, so Good Job Rod. Overall, Also, would like to commend the guard and the parking assistant they are also accommodating and we saw dedication on what they are doing. So Overall, if want to feel Grumpy, go to Grumpy Joe :)

Cleanliness: 4/5 Spacious: 4/5 Food: 2/5 Friendliness of the Server and Manager - 0/5 Would recommend to others: No Would go back to...

My first and going to be last time I will visit this establishment. Everything to the food, environment, service, & overall theme of Grumpy Joe is not cohesive to any degree.

To start with my experience, we a family of 6 dined-in on a weekday lunch. We had ordered a handful of their recommended dishes, ie., pastas, pizzas, salads, & other items. What specifically was of concern was the Spicy pesto seafood pasta, it came served with mussels that were still shut & the noodles were already quite mushy. Being that it was inedible, we had it sent back & prepared once again. However, what I did not expect was the SAME EXACT plate that I had just sent away was served with OVERLY MUSHY & DRY PASTA! The only consolidation to the dish was that the mussels were indeed cooked then. How would I know that the same dish I had given was the EXACT same? Simple, because prior to that I had open & broke a piece out of a single mussel to show the waiter, he then had me scoop back that same piece to show the Chef, in which the EXACT mussel was seen in our dish. I find this unacceptable in a dinning establishment, especially in one that tries it's hardest to emulate value & class.

In addition to that experience, the food was well bellow average fast food quality served up in a more "extravagant" plating. The Buffalo wings as they appeared quite large, yet it was heavily coated in batter & the wings themselves were poorly prepped. There were rib portions of the chicken in a supposedly "WING"!?!? This gave me an impression that they expect guest to be gullible enough to purchase the dish that is MORE EXPENSIVE then their regular offering of other flavored wings to be then served sloppy cuts of large bones in mediocre buffalo sauce. Just unacceptable quality of food.

I highly recommend you avoid this chain as I have seen a lot more issues that I have the time to write them all down, and frankly I do not feel as they deserve more of my...

My recent dining experience at Grumpy Joe's Pampanga branch was a mix of hits and misses. We chose to try this restaurant once more as their Baguio branch is exceptional. We ordered a variety of dishes, hoping to indulge in a delightful feast, but the overall impression left us with a sense of mediocrity.

The highlights of the meal included the Caesar salad with shrimp and the Nacho salad. Both were fresh and adequately portioned, offering a decent combination of flavors. The shrimps were cooked well and added a nice touch to the salads.

Among the pizzas we tried, the 5 cheese pizza stood out the most. It was gooey, cheesy, and had a delightful blend of flavors. The Grumpy Joe Chicken was a total letdown as it is bland, unlike in their Baguio branch which is really good. The Grumpy Joe Pizza failed to impress. The toppings lacked the boldness that the name suggests, leaving it rather bland and forgettable. The Pulled Pork Pizza, while conceptually appealing, felt a bit dry and could have used some extra sauce to enhance the taste. The seafood marinara and lasagna were average in taste, nothing exceptional but nothing disappointing either. The Creamy Tuna was decent, though it lacked the creamy texture we were hoping for. The Shrimp Tomato Soup had potential.

The biggest letdown of the meal was the Mozzarella sticks. They arrived at our table lukewarm and lacked the gooey, cheesy center that makes them truly enjoyable.

On the positive side, the service was attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. However, the food quality and inconsistency across the dishes prevented this dining experience from being truly memorable.

In conclusion, Grumpy Joe's Pampanga branch has some tasty options, but they need to work on improving the overall execution of their dishes. With a few tweaks and adjustments to the recipes, this place could become a great spot to enjoy a...

If the only reason that you're headed to San Fernando is to kill your cravings for Grumpy Joe, you are missing the whole point of being in the Culinary Center of Luzon. There's a reason why this place is getting a 3.3 rating here on Google Maps as of this writing. The pork ribs are overwhelmingly sweet! Just buy yourself a pack of Pampanga's Best Pork Tocino to get the same effect. The amazing thing though, you can eat the rib bone. Soft! But not getting this again. I'd rather be at Meat Plus Clark for the same price with a better bang for the buck. The Seafood Marinara, disappointing. New York Supreme does a better version at the same price point. However, the real novel thing here is their Pistachio Cheesecake. The hype... For the lengthy wait? NOT WORTH IT. Their menu is great for kids. Pizza, pasta, chicken, cake... what more can kids ask for? This place is good only if you need to kill your hunger. Nothing special about it. They belong to Baguio, they are the pride of Baguio. You know another waaay better alternative with almost the same price point? FABRIKA DINING VILLAS. Or... Mag Shakey's ka nalang. Is it worth coming back? 🙄😒🥴

I don't understand what the hype was all about. The food was mediocre, the grumpy Joe pizza tasted like Greenwich overload, the chicken was just ok. I did like their burger, hence the 3 stars for food. But this place had a lot of downsides for me. As the other reviewers say, the staff seemed all grumpy. After asking my name and contact info the staff told me table C1 and told me to go up. When I got there there weren't any table number and no staff to guide me so I just sat down on the table that looked comfortable to me. After a few minutes the woman went up and told me "C1!" in a tone that meant you're seated at the wrong table, move! How the heck am I suppose to know?! While waiting for our order, we got served the wrong dish twice and one of our orders didn't get served. You should also bring a lot of cash if you're eating here with a large group as they don't accept credit cards. Anyway, probably not coming back here again as there are way better options than this place. This is Pampanga after all, a lot of better restaurants than this one!
