There is no zero star so I'd have to settle for one star. I enjoy Mang Inasal for their food but this branch has the worst customer service ever. Again, this review is specific to this branch of San Fernando, La Union.
My family and I were heading to Baguio and decided to grab our dinner here before completing the last hour of our trip. Based from our receipt, our order was taken 7:19PM. We ordered PM1 and PM2 and 2 orders of the chorizo plus desserts. The lady at the counter asked if we were willing to wait for the chorizo. How long? 16 minutes? OK. We're good with that since it's just the chorizo. 15 minutes later, no food has arrived. My sister in law asked for a follow up on the order. Another 30 minutes and still nothing. Customers nearby, they've come and go. Customers who arrived later than us have had their food served already.
Another 20 minutes and we requested for another follow-up and by 8:05PM, I decided to come down and actually check what's going on. Lo and behold, after almost an hour, our orders are still not within the next three orders to be served. I had to literally be that demanding and annoying customer just so they 'prioritize' my order. Their words not mine. Lady at the counter even said, they should have told that they are NOT willing to wait. Hey missy, we were willing to wait. You did not inform us that the rest of the food would be served all together and when I went there, chorizo was not even ready and it's past your 16 minutes mark.
So all in all, we waited for more than an hour, with several follow ups and me having to go down thrice and my husband having to go down once just to get the orders completed.
Food is always good that's why we go to Mang Inasal but the personnel shouldn't be in customer service or in any way around a customer facing business if you can't keep up with the stress and you can't handle and manage your delivery time. Your wait time is terrible. Never even bothered to apologize for the inconvenience or for the...
Read moreMang Inasal's two-star rating reflects a disappointing dining experience marked by notable shortcomings that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the visit. The primary issue encountered was the exceptionally slow service, which greatly hindered the flow of the meal and left patrons waiting for extended periods without explanation or apology. This lack of promptness not only tested the patience of customers but also detracted from the anticipated dining experience, leading to frustration and disappointment.
Adding to the dissatisfaction was the unexpected power outage caused by the generator malfunctioning. The sudden loss of electricity plunged the restaurant into darkness, further compounding the inconvenience and discomfort experienced by diners. Without adequate lighting and ventilation, the dining atmosphere quickly deteriorated, leaving patrons feeling unsettled and dissatisfied.
The combined effects of slow service and power disruption underscore a lack of preparedness and responsiveness on the part of the establishment. These issues not only disrupted the dining experience but also reflected poorly on Mang Inasal's ability to meet the basic expectations of its customers. Inadequate measures to address service delays and power outages suggest a disregard for customer satisfaction and a failure to prioritize the comfort and well-being of patrons.
Overall, the negative experience encountered at Mang Inasal, characterized by slow service and power failure, warrants a one-star rating. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of efficient service delivery and contingency planning in ensuring a positive dining experience...
Read moreThis is a good place to eat when you're looking for affordable and hearty Filipino meals. They have unlimited rice and unlimited soup options. Iconic. They also give 10% discount to vaxxed customers. We've eaten multiple times in this branch; however, this is the first time we ate here during the pandemic. And it was bad. It was 7:30pm and there's at least 5 foodpanda drivers waiting at the door. Passing through that, we were told there's no more chicken meals available. So we ordered sisig. You dont get to decide which table you sit at, the staff do. It was 5 feet away from the bathroom. We sat down and waited at least 10minutes along with 2 other families for our order. So there we were, inhaling bathroom air everytime it opens while we talked and ate our food. Kinaya naman. But if I had a choice I won't ever go back to this branch. Maybe it's because they're near closing time but that cursed table + bathroom air + "amoy ulam" did not scream good experience to me. No table should be placed within arms reach of the sink...
