Christmas Eve of December 2021, we ordered food from Alex III San Juan for our Christmas Eve dinner. The food we ordered were superb: Chicken Relleno, Pinakbet, Sotanghon Guisado, Fish Fillet with Lemon Caper Sauce..
So this Mother's Day, we decided to order again from them. To our disappointment, there were a lot of food that were unavailable. Since we really wanted to order from them again, we settled for what were available. We were glad to be able to order their Pinakbet and Sotanghon Guisado again. However, it turned our that the food were very salty. The Pinakbet was very salty (unlike last Christmas Eve when the "templa was just right") and the vegetables were overcooked. The Sotanghon was very dry. In short, the food were the exact contrast of our previous orders.
Alex III had been one of our go-to places for special occasions. I don't know what happened this Mother's Day 2022. It will take a while before we order from them again. Alex III, Please make sure food were well-prepared and consistent...
Read moreIt’s not the same as before. Food portions are SMALLER, and prices are HIGHER. Price you pay is not proportionate to the value of food AND service received. Food took too long to be served. Lady on the phone said we can bring cake and when we triple-celebrated here, I asked if they have take out containers for us and said they will charge us because they didn’t charge corkage na daw for the cake. Wow, we took 14 people to celebrate my birthday here then you have the gall to say that. Napakaganda naman ng consideration mo Madam. Never coming back deapite this being one of our family’s favorite restos before. It’s simply not the way it used to be. Terrible food portioning, pricing and customer servicing. Bye Alex III. Nice knowing you! Aristocrat na kami, better portions,...
Read moreI used to love Alex lll, specially their chicken BBQ and Java rice. This time, I ordered their boneless chicken and pork BBQ w/ java rice. I was so disappointed. The chicken and pork BBQ was dry, tough & bland. I had to drown it bbq sauce. Even the java rice was overcooked. The fresh lumpia was also tasteless. Even my friend's palabok w/ tokwa't baby & puto was overcooked and lacked in taste. The only thing that we liked was their chicharon bulaklak. It was not worth the price we paid for. I would rather go to Reyes barbecue in Greenhills anytime. Another restaurant in my "where not...
