Kimpura, the esteemed Japanese restaurant, has recently found a new home in Greenhill Shopping Center's newly constructed buildings. Situated on the ground floor, the restaurant continues to attract a steady stream of patrons, even though the new layout appears somewhat more cramped compared to its previous location.
As we settled in for our dining experience, we opted for a regular table instead of the teppanyaki option. The menu remained as enticing as ever, featuring an extensive selection of Japanese delicacies, ranging from delectable sushi rolls and aromatic noodles to flavorful bentos and sizzling teppanyaki creations.
The service at Kimpura was a mixed bag, sometimes ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. However, there was a minor setback in terms of the food delivery, which seemed a bit slow. Nevertheless, the culinary offerings did not disappoint. Our order comprised the mouthwatering agedashi tofu, savory okonomiyaki, delightful unagi bento, and refreshing mango imitation crab salad. Among them, the tempura stood out for me the most especially the ebi tempura. Its big, fluffy, piping hot, and perfectly fried.
The return of Kimpura to Greenhills brings a wave of excitement and satisfaction to local residents and visitors. Its presence adds a touch of authenticity and diversity to the dining scene, allowing Japanese cuisine enthusiasts to relish their favorite flavors without having to venture far. Whether it's a casual outing or a special occasion, Kimpura's revival in Greenhill Shopping Center is a welcome addition that caters to the discerning palates of Japanese food aficionados, making it a culinary destination...

Read moreWe have been visiting the beautiful Philippines for the past month. We have traveled to several areas in this country and it has been a fabulous trip! We are heading home tomorrow . So we decided to take our family to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant. We looked at the listings online and saw Kimpura. It was one that mentioned hibachi grill. We made it to the restaurant and waited for them to open at 17:30. There were 2 families in front of us also waiting. When the restaurant opened my wife was asked if we had a reservation . The restaurant was practically empty. They said hibachi needs a reservation. So we settled on a regular table, disappointed. We ended up sitting at the table for 35 minutes before anyone took a drink or food order. When our food arrived we couldn’t help but notice the empty hibachi tables. The service was very slow and part of our order never arrived. So we received our bill and saw the item was on the bill. Once it was corrected I paid it. On the way out we still saw the empty hibachi tables. So we gave it 2 stars. The food was alright, not great. The service the slowest we have had while in this trip. Overall...
