They have their main branch in Pasig where I usually go to, but I’m so happy that they finally opened in Greenhills!! This is one of my go-to restaurant for family lunches and dinner dates with friends and having been here thrice for the past 2 weeks since they’ve opened, I wanted to share some favorites from their new menu.
Their seafood dishes are AWESOME! The mussels came with a creamy mildly spicy sauce that you just wanna mix your rice in or slurp it all up by itself, it definitely complimented the freshness of the mussels. The crab omelette, will be one of those comfort food you’d be craving for every week! Serving size was hefty too. Pulpo!!! OMG. I’ve been waiting for them to come out with an octopus dish and theirs did not disappoint! The texture was perfect and I loved the sweet potato it came with. I tend to be fussy regarding salmon dishes, since I’ve encounter numerous servings of dry unflavorful salmons from different restos but their torched salmon here... DELICIOUSSS! I really liked how it was cooked, make sure to pair it with the mushrooms and cauliflower in each bite. Yum! Tuna belly was also great, it’s one of my family’s favorite and will always make an appearance on the dinner table. Don’t miss out on their vegetarian pizza!! I was contemplating on ordering either the one with pork or shrimp since that’s what we usually get, but our server recommended the pesto and mushroom pizza and now I make sure to let everyone try it every time we’re back!
You’d notice some of their food has a lot of elements in each dish, make it a point to try eating them together, from the fried tortillas chips, salsa and sweet mash on the Argentino steak, which gives each bite more texture, to adding mushroom, cauliflower and some black powder on their torched salmon dishes. You wouldn’t normally think it would mesh well, but I find it really well thought of on making each of their food unique.
The interiors are a plus factor, I especially love the private dining area, so much IG worthy spots!! The colors are definitely a feast for the eyes. They also have a hidden Vault bar, super cool idea since there’s barely any drinking hubs in Greenhills.
I’m pretty sure service would keep getting better since they’ve only been two weeks in, but I find everyone there very accommodating, always putting a smile on their faces.
Can’t wait...
Read moreThis was just a horrible dining experience. The server said that food will be served in 25-30 minutes. We received our first, out of 3 items (Steak Burrito) after 55 minutes, which I sent back as the food was cold. I complained to the manager who said he will personally take care of re-preparing my burrito and getting the rest of our food out ASAP. So we waited... we received our appetizer after 10 minutes of me complaining, then another burrito after another 10 minutes or so. 35 minutes from the time I complained, still waiting for the burrito they initially brought out, I finally stood up and spoke to the manager again who seemed puzzled about my follow up. I asked for the check, which came after another 10 minutes - the bill was intact, minus the item I didnt receive. Not that I was asking for anything free, but after waiting for an hour and 40 minutes, yes, that's to be expected, so I asked! Manager gave us a 10% discount. The fact that I had to ask instead of the manager proactively applying a discount to pacify an angry customer, to me, was unacceptable, so I called the manager out and said he needed to work on how to deal with situations like these, to where the owner randomly popped out of nowhere and said "we're ok now! We are trying our best here, as we've just opened so we hope you understand." I dont think that it's a customer's job to be understanding for the fact they just opened. Maybe they should have pushed out their opening and thoroughly trained their staff first, so they're better prepared to deal with these types of situations. There were 5 other tables that we saw complained about the poor service, poor communication/follow ups, and long wait. The food was ok, not bad, but certainly not worth waiting an hour and 40...
Read moreHad a Friday night dinner at Tittos.
We ordered 3 street tacos and 2 mains.
Chiquittos (P220.00) Our favorite when coming to Tittos, the chicken is tender while the tortilla wrap is crispy. This is served with greens, cream and cheese on top and salsa sauce below it.
The next 2 dishes came with 2 flour tortillas at the bottom and shredded vegetables on top. Photos of these dishes dont fully display the beef/shrimp as they are covered by the shredded vegetables but the portion of beef/shrimp is enough for the 2 tortillas.
Beef Barbacoa (P220.00) The Beef Barbacoa was very flavorful and had a kick when we consumed them. I found them to be a little bit too salty but the wife was fine with it.
Salted Egg Shrimp (P195.00) The shrimps were coated in a layer of salted egg batter and topped off with some salted egg sauce to drive the taste home. This dish did not last long.
Paella Carne (Medio P540.00) Tittos' mexican style take on Paella. We enjoyed the combination of meats present in the dish. The change from hard boiled to soft boiled egg with a slightly runny yolk was also a welcome change.
Grilled Pork Chops (P495.00) Was very flavorful without the gravy and went well with their Truffle Mashed Potatos. The gravy it comes with just brings the dish to the next level.
Even though it was a busy evening, the staff were very attentive and addressed our table's needs quickly.
Tittos shows that you dont need to break the bank to have an excellent dining experience. All in all, we enjoyed our evening in Tittos and are looking forward to...
