Neighbourhood Bar & Resto — Restaurant in Santo Tomas

It was lovely! The ambience is great. It doesn't feel crowded because of the huge area of the resto itself. The food is everything. I highly recommend their chicken wings. They're more like chicken pops. Haha! But the taste compensated the size. (That's what she said. Sorry, had to. 😂) The drinks are relatively affordable, too. And we couldn't get enough of their Chismosa cocktail. Super yummy but super strong, too. It hits just about right. The staff are friendly and very pleasant. You will feel safe because of the security they have in place. They make sure to check everyone who enters and they also have a dress code so there's that sense of exclusivity, too. It would have been a straight five but we were rushed to finish our drinks near closing and we didn't appreciate being told multiple times in intervals of like two minutes. We understood it was closing but we still had 20 minutes and them coming for us multiple times was a bit off-putting. But other than that, it was a great experience.

We were denied entry because i was wearing a sleeveless shirt. As i come from a very cold country anything longer would mean i'm sweating all over the place within minuets, which is disgusting for not just myself, but also everyone around me. I was surprised at the dress code as this is just an outside shack with no walls or aircon. Not an upmarket bar by any means. One of the staff did offer to lend me a long sleeve shirt but sadly i had to refuse due to the heat. It was very disappointing as we moved to the area 6 months ago and this is the first bar we have seen here. The place was good for a quick drink. Live band on the side. Beer towers at every table. Dont sit near the giant speakers. I was un-able to hear my mates beside me the whole time. We have to shout to be understood. Oh, yellow-shirted Bouncers hold bottle openers too! Prepare to be amazed with their PETIX cocktail mix and Hotdog Sisig! There are other good sisigs too but seeing a hotdog...
