We tried Old Town Sto Tomas at the opening week of SM Sto Tomas. A lot of items on the menu were not available - which was acceptable because they were on soft opening.
We visited again last week and there are even more items on the menu that were not available. Ordered the Soft Boiled eggs on Toast only for the manager to come back a few minutes later to ask me if it was ok for the order not to have eggs (uhhhhhmmm...). The first two items I chose to order was not available (Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken and Asam Laksa). I ended up with Curry Laksa Mae. The fried beancurd was so tough that it was tougher than card board - it looks like it was fried days ago. You can only eat it if you soak it long enough in the soup.
Service staff were nice and polite but definitely need more training. We asked for water refill so the manager/waitress (?) went back to the counter... not to get water as we thought but to chat with the other staff. Not sure if she has short term memory loss... we had to get up and get water ourselves from...

The place offers a different kind of flavor and experience to our usual cafe. It is nice to add them in the...
