Food is okay, but it can't compensate how bad the service is. It's like the crew were actively avoiding the customers. Asking for anything takes forever. When you call a crew over, they would look straight ahead, avoiding looking at your raised hand, pretending as if they don't have peripheral views and you are out of their sight when you're obviously not.
Be prepared to have your hand raised for at least 3-4 times before they attend to you. Politeness doesn't work here. If you're soft spoken, they won't pay attention. It's quite embarassing having to verbally say "pahingi pong..." in a loud voice just so they'd look your way. It's understandable if they were so busy and the crew were visibly overwhelmed but you can literally see them gathering around the food station, pretending to be doing something, and customers can hear them very audibly laughingp and chatting in the kitchen for long periods of time.
Then when you request for something, expect to wait at least 10 to 40 minutes for each request to be fulfilled. We couldn't enjoy the experience because it was so frustrating trying to interact with the crew. We came as a family of 15, occupying 4 tables, and it took us almost 3 hours to finish just 3 servings each table because of how slow and snub the crew are. Lastly, the last portion of pork meat served to us were old and chewy. It was quite disgusting.
I hope the management does something to fix this issue. People go to KBBQs not only for the food, but also for experience. I would never go back to this branch. There are small local kbbqs that give better service than them. I've been to their BGC and Makati branches and had an absolute great time so I gave this branch a chance, but boy was I disappointed. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot — the air conditioning was set to 28–29°C, which is unacceptable for a place where diners are grilling food at their tables. Despite having fewer than five occupied tables, everyone was visibly sweating, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the meal.
The rice looked and tasted like the cheapest kind available — definitely not what you'd expect for the price you're paying. One staff member told us they ran out of cheese, only for us to see her serving cheese at another table shortly after. Seriously?
To top it off, all the staff could clearly see how uncomfortable we were, soaked in sweat — but they didn’t seem to care at all. Flies were also everywhere, making the whole experience even worse.
