The place looked absolutely charming with the decor, the tableware, and the hugot quotes on the walls. I wish I could say the same about the food. The presentation was clean and stuck with the theme - the Steak To One burgersteak rice meal was shaped in hearts. I thought that food tasted fine but it was nothing too special. Kind of like you could make it at home. My cheesy tomato Mac was more spaghetti than cheese - maybe I misunderstood the menu.. but the spaghetti sauce on my friend's plate tasted the same. The longga burger was well made, and so were the accompanying potato chips, but again nothing too special. The cream of mushroom apparently didn't taste homemade - more like instant soup out of a packet. We also got one of their signature drinks but again it is powdered even though the menu makes it sound like it would be fresh juice. And it was waaaay too sweet.
Service was quick though. We were in and out in about 30-40 minutes (we take forever to decide what to order!) and made it in time for the airport.
All in all, it was a cute experience with satisfying food, great for pictorials with your significant other or your otherwise lovelorn friends...
Read moreFirst time here. Located along a busy street downtown. Parking in the back but limited parking everywhere else. Very nice atmosphere and decorative. Clean and cool inside. I ordered the babyback ribs. My wife ordered a waffle dish. For appetizer it was lumpia with a spicy kick. Babyback ribs were fall off the bone ribs. Very tasty and plenty of them (bring your appetite with you 😁😁😁). Wife could not finish her waffle plate. The lumipa had a very nice kick. Wife doesn't like spicy and they were way to spicy for her. I love spicy and they were good. Pricing was very reasonable and the food came out at the same time (kudos to the chef who knows about timing). Overall I was very satisfied with my experience and will definitely come back...
Read moreA romantic-themed restaurant with “romantic” food names for regular comfort food. Introduced by a Taclobanon friend, this dining area is a must try. Located in the city center, the restaurant is adored with seasonal figurines and fixtures with designer wall reminder of the house favorites. When we were there the venue was adored ,from floor to ceiling, with Holiday seasons feel. All it lacks is snow flakes outside its wall and you would think you are eating your comfort food, with uniquely love aligned names, in the northern regions. A must try dining destination when in Tacloban. Personal favorite?...
