GV Hotel Tacloban — Hotel in Tacloban

A good hotel if you are looking for a budget hotel in Tacloban City. Just expect the basic amenities for a standard room. Airconditioned Standard Room that is good for two persons will cost you 900 pesos per night. You can choose between a room with two separate single beds or a room with a standard twin size bed.Majority of television sets in the rooms are not Flat LED Screen. Small table, and a Small Comfort Room / Bath Room just enough for the price you have paid. They let you use two towels, give you 2 small soap bars that will last only in one usage, one roll of toilet paper and 2 small bottled water. The building in total is quite old, maybe have been present for the past 10 years or more. Located near a 24-hour McDonalds Store, near the University belt of Tacloban City that includes Leyte Normal University, Eastern Visayas University, Leyte Colleges and the renowed Divine Word University of the 80's and 90's now commonly known as Liceo Del Verbo among other Schools. It is also a walking distance to Pendoko's Barbeque Stall in Tacloban City along Real Street. Sto. Niño Church, People Center Library and Sto. Niño Shrine is just a walking distance...

If there is a zero rating I would give it to this Hotel. I was hoping that their giving promo doesn't affect quality because the base price is like a regular good hotel. But it turns out that the promo price should have been the real price due to their worst service and quality. Then the promo is fake. Imagine that at 2:30PM the room is not yet ready even it was reserved and paid 4 days in advance. The normal check in is at 2PM. Then they will allow me to go to my room by 2:45PM but then it was not cleaned, full of hanging trashes by previous occupant, bed sheet not changed, the toilet is dirty so is the floor. No free bottled water, no shampoo. My room has no Cellphone signal (Bad location), WIFI is only at the lobby but its almost useless due to a lot of people using it. Then you need to pay for Hot water. My goodness this is the only hotel I've been that I need to pay for hotwater. They said because of the styro cup. Why don't you provide mugs and utensils? Even if they have the lowest rate, IT'S NOT WORTH IT. THIS HOTEL IS GOOD ONLY AS THE LAST CHOICE WHILE IN TACLOBAN THAN SLEEPING...

This hotel was recommended to me because of its distance to a place of interest. However, i’ve never seen such a budget hotel this poor. ||1. Bed sheets to thin and doubtful if it’s clean.|2. Busted sockets|3. Toilet was small and yucky.|4. Faucet below shower not working.|5. The room we got was for two persons but they can only give one key card.|6. Limited catv channels.|7.
