Disclaimer: I may have a different preference from you. :)

The place has a really good and aesthetic vibe. Because of its Instagrammable look, I had little expectation of the food. We ordered a lot for five people: for the bread, we tried their pandesal, coffee bun, pan de coco, ube cheese pandesal, and cheese roll; for the meals, we ordered skinny fries, carnitas taco, karaage, 8-hour generation beef, umami baked salmon, crispy palabok, and tartufo pasta.

My expectations were definitely exceeded! Everything was really, really good! Among our meals, I love the crispy palabok (not in photos), which looked like Manam's, skinny fries, carnitas taco, and the umami baked salmon (which was a bit salty, so it was perfect with rice). Among the breads, I love the cheese roll the most --- generous amount of cheese, not so sweet and the bread is dense (siksik).

For dessert, we tried their New York cheesecake, mango float cake, triple chocolate mousse cake, and Rocher cake. The Rocher cake really tasted like Ferrero.

The staff were also very warm and accommodating. Ms. Lovely, Ms. Queenie and Ms. Andrea were attentive to our requests.

If you're looking for a place to work in Tacloban City, with great food, Generation Bread is a good cafe to go to. Just to be sure, call the cafe for a reservation...

Food Portion and Pricing: The food portions are generous, but they come with a price tag. Food or meals costs around P300-500.

Flavor Notes: While the dishes are undeniably delicious, I must admit that some items lean toward the salty side. Personal taste varies, of course, but it's worth noting for discerning palates. Feel and Ambiance The place is very cozy and relaxing with warm lights and elegant upholstery. Staff Etiquette: The staff, particularly the floor supervisor I think, could benefit from a warmer approach. Their demeanor lacks the welcoming touch one expects in a dining establishment. Perhaps a little more hospitality training would enhance the overall experience.

Long Stays and Connectivity: I just feel they seem to prefer quick munch rather than extended stays. I felt they are also not willing to offer their Wi-Fi, good thing I've got my 5G ready after my one hour voucher expired, so I think it's not ideal for people who want to work here.

In summary, it balances coziness and indulgence with a few minor...

The food is quite good, with their bread being the highlight. They have a variety of options. The drinks are average, but their matcha is a definite standout for me, offering a pleasant balance of flavors. The prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other options in the area, and while the servings are decent, they aren’t as generous as some might expect.

The staff are welcoming, which adds to the overall positive experience. The place has a luxurious and aesthetic ambiance, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy your food and drinks in style. However, the serving time can be a bit slow, which can be frustrating if you’re in a hurry.

Overall, it’s a solid choice if you're looking to enjoy quality food and drinks. Though the place can be a bit pricy and the service slow, the good food and pleasant environment make it...
