Bag of Beans Main Branch: A Timeless Haven of Memories Bag of Beans Main Branch isn't just a coffee shop; it's an institution, a Tagaytay landmark, and for many, myself included, it's easily one of the best coffee shops to go to, absolutely full of cherished memories. Stepping into the Main Branch feels like entering a different world, a charming escape from the hustle and bustle. The rustic, eclectic decor, the lush greenery, the cozy nooks, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods create an atmosphere that's both enchanting and incredibly welcoming. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to truly savor the moment. My visits here span years and countless occasions. I can vividly recall chilly mornings warmed by their famous Kapeng Barako and hearty all-day breakfasts, leisurely afternoons spent catching up with friends over slices of their delectable pies, and quiet moments of reflection with a good book and a perfect cup of coffee. Each visit has woven itself into the tapestry of my personal memories, making this spot much more than just a place to eat and drink. Beyond the delightful food and beverages – from their robust coffee blends to their generous servings of comfort food – it's the unique ambiance that truly sets Bag of Beans Main Branch apart. It's a place designed for lingering, for conversation, and for making new memories while revisiting old ones. Read moreWe recently had breakfast at Bag of Beans Tagaytay Main Branch, and it was a lovely experience for our family of seven. The place itself is charming—rustic yet elegant, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger. It’s definitely Instagram-worthy, with its garden-inspired interiors and scenic nooks perfect for family photos or quiet reflection.
✨ Ambience & Accessibility The atmosphere is fantastic—peaceful, welcoming, and spacious enough for large groups. They accept both local and international credit cards, which is a huge plus for convenience.
🍽️ Food & Service We visited on a Monday, so it wasn’t buffet-style (which we suspect might be available on weekends). The menu was extensive—so many choices that we had a hard time deciding! In the end, we ordered just a few items because the servings were generous.
Fish and Chips: Served hot, which we appreciated. It was decent—not the highlight, but satisfying. Blueberry Pancakes: A pleasant surprise! Not only was there blueberry on top, but also inside the pancake itself. Served hot and fluffy—definitely a favorite. Pizza: Spot on! It tasted freshly made, likely hand-tossed and crafted from scratch. A standout dish. Hot Chocolate: This was the only slight letdown. It wasn’t quite at the “batirol” level richness we were hoping for. We’ve had better elsewhere, but it was still comforting.
💬 Final Thoughts Overall, we were happy with our visit. The food was served hot, the portions were generous, and the setting was beautiful. It’s a great spot for family meals, especially if you’re looking for a relaxing start to your day in Tagaytay. We’d love to come back—maybe on a weekend to...
Read moreIt's nice and decent here to stay in, the overlooking view is great but not too wide. You can't see the Taal Lake or Volcano well, just a part of it. There are cute black ants there, I don't know if they bite but they could scare you if you're not friendly with insects.
House blend coffee is okay, it's not good enough for my coffee taste. But Caffe Mocha is better than House blend, Iced Caramel is okay, it's sweet.
Idk, maybe I ordered the wrong coffee that I've been seeing on reviews that their coffee is one of the best in the area. I guess Starbucks still reign supreme.
The hotcakes with the bacons, egg, and burger is great, you'd feel full already, I think it's about 450 pesos. I shared it with my sister.
Coffees are around 150+
Wear your face mask and face shield.
The service is nice, there is no wifi at the time of visit. But there is restroom.
3 stars because, my dad's senior discount were only used for the coffees, they didn't discount the pancake meal, and it's the pricey one. Seems a bit off, but maybe it's just a protocol. Seems cheap, I think it's about 35 pesos that was discounted.
Ahh. Come in early, around 6:20 or so, they opened at 6:45 am, and there were already people waiting at that time. We were the second to visit first but I think we were at the 10th line. But it's okay.
I had high hopes with the place, but it seems pretty normal to me. It's just that it's located in Tagaytay, that it seems more appealing. But maybe, I ordered only a few drinks and one meal. Or my taste is just not alright with the place, maybe you would prefer it. So try it if you wish...
