Bulalo House Tagaytay — Restaurant in Tagaytay

Went here 3 times… serving size was good, and food was good. But the service was slow… almost 1 hr after they took our order even it is not too busy. Reason was they only have one cook. They accept senior discount but make sure to review what you ordered & to count your change… they short changed me 2 times… i guess the cashier don’t know how to count, but the second time, she told me she was too busy (lame excuse coz it was not too busy) the first time was ok because i gave them enough to cover the Bill plus waiters tip (15%). It has a limited parking (6-8 car max without motorcycles) and hard to get in and out of the place. It is not wheelchair accessible or pwd and might be slippery and muddy when it rains because it is not paved. If you are not in a hurry and can wait for parking or your food, this is for you! But make sure review your orders to count...

I appreciate that their Bulalo is cheaper than the other restos. We ordered the Bulalo Jr which only costs 400 pesos. That's a good deal considering that most of the restos here sell bulalo at around 800 to 1000 pesos. The meat is very tender and the melts in your mouth kind. I just noticed that somehow it leaves a bitter aftertaste for me which I wonder why. The crispy tawilis is good though. The view of the Taal Volcano is so-so since there are large wires obstructing the view. So come here for the food not the view. Also, the resto could use a little internal decoration improvement. The grasses in the front area near the road needs some TLC - they dont really look very welcoming.

Going here is such a nice experience. The view of the Taal Volcano is very clear just from entering, and even while dining in. We dined here just this December, so we could feel the cold breeze while dining - perfect for sipping hot bulalo.

The food is great and they have a good number of options. Their bulalo is delicious, you could taste that umami flavor from boiling the beef for a good amount of time.

They have unlimited bulalo soup to come with it.
