One of the worst (if not the first) Kuya J branches. First off, the staff were not welcoming the moment we entered the restaurant. The only friendly one was the one at the cashier. I also think it’s not proper for the staff to have their meeting or whatever agenda they’re doing right next to customers dining. Lastly, one of them, by the name Salve (sorry for name-dropping but we were really disappointed and frustrated), she was giving us this nasty and irritated look ever since we entered the restaurant while she was doing her document/report (?) on the table next to us (not to mention she was even fixing her face and makeup right next to us). All throughout our dine she was like that and it’s very displeasing and made us feel uncomfortable. We certainly think that delivering great service and experience to the customers must be one of the qualities of a good establishment/business especially in the food industry. And we believe they have failed on this aspect. As for the food, it was okay. The only let down was the Bulalo for being a bit salty. The rest, especially the Crispy Talong, tastes great.

Love the service, food and decor, great for small or medium size groups! This is our second time in two days! Love the tasty and fragrant fried chicken, yummy sisig-, kare Kate, bulalo, scallops and the spring rolls. In our first visit, lunch, I also enjoyed the dinuguan. Staff are very friendly and attentive, except maybe when they are very busy!😃

I don't usually give a review to a restaurant but I can't help this one. We ordered stuffed bangus, hearty chicken, pinakbet, scallops and dangit rice and all of these dishes are suuuuupeeeerrrr salty. I repeat SALTY, and when I said it I really MEAN it. (sigh) it's not my first time eating at Kuya J's but this one uuuuggghhhhh. Really bad.

I would give this restaurant a 1/2 star if google reviews wiil allow me. Service is so slow. Waited for 30 mins to be seated, when seated took 40 mins to get served, even though we pre ordered while waiting for our table. And then we found out that our orders have been messed up. We ended up waiting for some more time. We ended up eating cold food because of the waiting. The really bad part of the experience, is the food is average. Stay away from the crispy pakbet. The baked scallops is a scam. The crispy pata, nothing good to say about it. Overall, stay away from this place. if you want a place to have a good meal, go to...

We visited Kuya J's Ayala branch in Tagaytay and ordered the whole fried chicken, puchero, and baked scallops. We were informed that the serving time would take 30-40 minutes, so we waited. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, the fried chicken was served raw with blood. The waitress took the food back but didn’t offer an apology. They recooked the chicken, but it came out looking awful, having absorbed an excessive amount of oil. It was clear that the staff wasn't well-trained. We had to ask for sauces and other essentials multiple times. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience. We will not...
