Lawa Cafe - Tagaytay — Restaurant in Tagaytay

Entrance was kinda confusing to find. For reference the entrance of this cafe is by Cabezera - Ridge View.

This is a decent and laid back cafe in Tagaytay City but I think that its menu lacks variety and the drinks need improvement in its taste, considering the price point. I think that the cafe should solidify its branding, personality, and overall ambiance not just being a cafe with a view of Taal Lake.

Notable remarks free parking good customer service in the counter. Otherwise, it's self-service. menu needs more variety especially if you are just there for a snack I recommend the Bibingka Pancake. It has cheese and salted egg inside. The coffee is too sweet for our liking. I suggest to request to lessen the sugar upon ordering.

We visited the place for its breathtaking view of Taal, offering a refreshing ambiance. However, our dining experience left us with mixed feelings. The beef pares with bone marrow was flavorful, but the lukewarm soup and consistently uncooked rice were disappointing. The sisigsilog failed to capture the essence of sisig; the meat tasted aged, and the uncooked rice persisted. Despite these setbacks, the frappe was a hit, though my drink lacked sufficient sugar, possibly due to excessive ice. Although the scenic backdrop was enjoyable, the overall cost of 1,400+ pesos left us questioning the value. TOO PRICEY. It was my first time at Lawa Café, though not my first time in the area — a few years back, I was on the other side with the same beautiful view. The difference now is the ambiance — light, calm, and relaxing — the kind that makes you want to just sit back, unwind, and enjoy the scenery.

Unfortunately, we arrived at the wrong time since it was raining all morning, but it didn’t take away from how peaceful the place felt. 🌧️✨

Food choices are good, prices are fair, and I love that they even have a pup cup for pets! 🐶 The staff were all so friendly and always smiling — it really adds to the charm of the café.

Definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone looking to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the view. 🌿💛
