As the name suggests, this establishment is more of a 'stop-over place' rather than a restaurant. Their pricing for their bulalo (~500php) is competitive since most of the restaurants nowadays (2023) ranges from 880-1200 PHP. They also have a unique flavor profile which is pretty much similar to home-cooked 'nilagang baka' which is not really a bad thing as you'll eventually get tired of the usual beef broth shared by common restaurants in Tagaytay. Beware of other viands though as some were ridiculously priced for their serving size (for instance, we ordered a 'sisig' with a micro serving size. Please see image...
Read moreAte lunch here around 1pm. There is a wide selection of food. Food was good. Price was a bit on the high side. Paid 600 for 2 viands (turo turo style) 1 rice, 1 bottled water.
The service was bad. Food took so long to be served considering I ordered from the ready cooked food selection. Thought they were heating it but it was served cold. Also the crew played an afternoon radio drama thru the sound system. Wasn't really very enticing.
The ambiance of the place was ok. Wooden table and chairs. Decor was just right for Tagaytay feels.
Overall the experience was alright. Hope they do something about...
Read moreFood was suprisingly good but is fairly expensive. I was expecting to be disappointed because it felt that the food was overpriced but it was tasty and good. Still fairly pricey for the food and quantity, thus the 4 stars.
Atmosphere was okay. It feels like eating in a much expensive carinderia.
The service was really good. The people were attentive and quick although they were not that friendly but that is okay as long as they do their jobs efficiently.
If I pass by the area again, I might eat here but I won't go out of my way...
