If you like to try out some Italian dishes aside from Pizza or Spaghetti then Al fresco Bay is the place for you. Located at G. Visarra Street,Poblacion 2 Tagbilaran City, it is an open restaurant for people looking for some good Italian food. The place is not difficult to be found as long as you check out its location on your device. It’s found along the road and this shouldn’t worry you since the road isn’t the type where huge trucks pass by blowing away dust and there’s this space between the building and the road for you to park your vehicle. The ambiance of the area is calming for anyone looking for a place to relax. The area is surrounded with trees keeping the place cool and fresh. Upon entering the area you will be greeted with their fine staff that will assist you to your table. for me though I’d suggest that they play some jazz music, the lively kind, at day and piano jazz or softer type of music for the night to match with the cool and quiet area On their menu you will find diverse choices of food ranging from burgers, pasta, salads, and their main course. Did I also tell you that they serve breakfast? Well they do! For a personal order, I chose the Bolognese and chose the penne pasta and a mango shake for my drink. I and my friends wanted to order their pizza but it wouldn’t be available until 12:00. Now it’s a good and bad thing that we were not able to order their pizza. Good because one plate on any of their food is more than enough to fill you up, unless you are a big eater, bad because we really wanted to taste their pizza. The Bolognese was beautiful, just be careful on eating it right away upon being served because it is still hot. Upon reaching your table, the Bolognese’ look is truly inviting you to eat it. That red or red-orange vibrant look of the sauce around the pasta topped with a bit of cheese. The pasta is well cooked, soft and tangy. The sauce has a sharp taste to it, kind of like lemon but not as strong as lemon, like it has a small kick to it. The meat is well cooked, mixed with the sauce and the pasta and you got one whole meal in one bite. Sips of their sweet cold mango shake to make you slow down and take in all the flavours. I also tasted a bit of their cheese burger and it is superb. First of all the patty is thick, juicy, soft flavourful. It is far from the patties from fast food restaurants, you get your money’s worth I promise you. Their chicken wings were also amazing, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside, paired with their dipping sauce to add more flavour to it. Now with all that mentioned, were there any problems? One thing I found irritating were the unwanted guests that keep on coming after your food which were flies. Don’t be mistaken, the food is clean but once it’s on your table the flies start going to you since the restaurant is open. So you got a battle between enjoying your food and keeping the flies away. How about cost? The restaurant isn’t a place for someone who will spend little, but neither is it really expensive, the cost of the food is balanced on the amount and the taste, like I said any single order is enough to get you full. If you are planning a budget to eat there alone then ₱600 is enough to get you a plate and a drink. As Asians we love rice, don’t worry even though it’s an Italian restaurant you can still order some rice. All-in-all it’s a great place to go, if you are a Filipino looking for Non-Asian cuisine then Al fresco bay is a good place to go. Good food, good service and a relaxing environment. Good place if you want to go on date or if you want to bring your family and friends. Definitely a restaurant I would love to come back to some other time.

Finally we went there to eat lunch with my husband. Been planning to dine in the restaurant for a quite time. Whoo, the foods are so delicious more than what I expected to. We talked with a gorgeous owners and they're really kind, friendly and approachable. The story they have is really fascinating. You can tell how good the relationship they have with their employees. They made their own fresh pasta which is a big plus. 👌👏👏👏 And they also do expirement most of their ingredients. They have their own spicy sauce, they usually get good feedbacks on it--must try next time. You can tell each food they serve is made of love. It tastes yummier, fresher and healthier. The all-meat pizza is the best pizza I ever tasted so far and looking forward to taste the rest pizzas. 😜 Really worth to find the place and eat there. Will comeback surely. You can't resist not to miss their foods. 😉

Place is tidy, spacious, and chill. Staff members know their customer service skills. There are enough seats and tables to accommodate big groups. It's got restrooms and WiFi. It even has a parking area. Food offerings can be a bit expensive but they taste good. Pizza though are only offered late in the afternoon/early evening. Or perhaps it was only a situation that happened that day because the coal was not prepared earlier in the brick oven. Athough the resto uses paper straws for cold beverages (which is good because this province is already problematic with plastic waste), it still uses plastic bags for take-aways. It would be nice if they'd be in paper bags.

Highly recommended!

This review is based upon multiple visits.

Moderate prices for exceptional Italian + international, high quality, meals, snacks, homemade specialties...

Excellent attentive service!

Owners, Helen + Guido are ever present, genuinely open, honest, + friendly. They actually care more about your satisfaction than you might think.

We can attest to the Exceptionally delicious Meat Lover"s Pizza, the Seafood Combo, the Homemade Spinach Ravioli, + the incredible cheese burger.

We can now attest to their excellent, very delicious, traditional Spaghetti + meatballs, Fettuccine with various different sauces, Lasagna, + so many other dishes!

By far, this is the best Italian cuisine value that we've experienced/tasted in the Visayas, metro Cebu included!

Centrally located, with plenty of free parking. Also, with a beautiful open air (Covid-19 safer), large dining room + bar, + separate designated smoking dining room.

Btw... An obviously clean, decent sized, private, well stocked restroom (comfort room, CR) is definitely important...to us This place, Al Fresco Bay, by far, has the cleanest CR that we've encountered in the Philippines!

Beware: They're...
