Max's Restaurant — Restaurant in Tagbilaran

Been here twice over a year difference and I can say this branch made their standard to the lowest. I've been to other branches in Manila but this is different. Food taste a little off towards expectation, staffs having a cold and still handles our utensils bare hand (also sneezes on the hand and still handles our served glass and utensils), and the most disappointing food I ordered was the Classic Halo-halo, although I asked for it to be served later but necessarily make it and serve later. I ended up getting served with a soaked cold water halo-halo and I asked the server to make me another because its not appetizing anymore but I was served with the same thing🤦. Just look at the photo and think how do you even mix that with the milk still on the side ready to be poured. My Partner didn't even finished the Pancit because it...

Among other items, also ordered their all-in arrozcaldo. Was advised it'll take 20 - 25 mins. I said that was ok. The food arrived 20 mins later. However, the arroz caldo was refrigerator cold, meaning it wasn't freshly cooked. I requested for it to be microwaved, so that at least it got warmed up. It came back, observed no steam, temp checked it with a finger, and it was still cold as rigor mortis, and the customer service in this branch. Sent it back again to be reheated. No apologies offered.

Ended up cancelling that order. Ended up sharing the seafood lomi ordered by a friend. It was warm-ish, but nothing to be amazed about.

Stay away from these menu items. And this branch that can't even reheat their food properly.

Staff is very accommodating everytime we visit. Been regulars here and comparing how they cook the food here compared in Manila, it's inconsistent.
