Buddy's Pancit Lucban Venice Grand Canal Mall — Restaurant in Taguig

Service is very slow. We ordered chicken bbq for take out and was only told it would be a 20 minute wait AFTER paying. They should really tell customers up front the wait time in case they have time constraints.

In the end, the wait was more around 35 to 40 minutes.

Lucky for them, the chicken bbq was amazing and made up for the lackadasical service! I honestly thought it would be chicken bbq skewers and not a quarter chicken. It was a pleasant surprise.

The chicken was very juicy and well seasoned. Not oily at all with a grilled smokey flavor. A little too much sauce perhaps.

There's a reason why this restaurant is always busy. The food is good!

I might even be willing to put up with a 35+ minutes wait again just for more chicken bbq.

Reviews of other dishes I tried: the beef tapsilog is also very good but you don't get too many pieces of beef. the daing ng bangus was nicely fried and crispy. But also very small portion sisig pusit was terrible. It was so finely chopped up you couldn't even tell what it was. It could be any other kind of meat. Therefore, it didn't have the texture of the pusit and was mushy. I wouldn't order this again

I will stick to the chicken bbq from now on.

The ambiance was excellent, very much local type and promotes our country fiesta traditions. Promotes cultures. The seating sections are very good in private conversations. Food mostly are very good. Those are plus side!

Negative side: The wait staff are always grouping, Having a private conversation instead of focusing on guest needs. We need to call out their attention to check our needs. They prefer talking each other rather than attending guest. I also notice that even there are guest on both section dining, the wait staff turn upside down the chairs showing they are nearly closing. That was 7pm only. Very unethical!!! The manager should focus on this matter. I usually come back to a certain restaurant with an excellent service. The manager should have knowledge to train the service crew in customer service in order to meet the guest satisfaction & gain more of come back guest.

Overall, I enjoyed our dinner because of what we eat and ambiance not...

It's been a while since we last ate at Buddy's Pancit Lucban. We had a mixed reaction on our recent experience at Venice Grand Canal Mall branch

Pros and Cons: Interior and exterior are still true to its Lucban theme with amazing colors and wooden tables. Spacious area with lots of seating options. There is a wash area and a CR inside the restaurant, which is convenient for mall restaurants not needing to go out just to use the restroom. We ordered a lot, including Pancit Lucban, which is a stand-out, chicken BBQ (big servings but just ok), Longsilog Lucban (my wife loves longganisa, but this one is just ok for her), pork sisig (again just ok), Sago't Gulaman, lemonade and iced tea (all just ok).
