First, I have the utmost respect for every F&B crew as I have friends and families who have worked on this field. This is not my first time eating at Manam, one of the indulgent brands from Moments Group. But sadly, me and my family have to be in a very unsavory and a stomach churning dining experience. For the record and respect for the place and squad of servers, they are very respectful and provided for our needs. Our food came, as expected being Manam, the taste, texture and food preparation will be exceptional even for the simplest dish. We ordered one of our favorite dish "sinigang sa salmon" , we had our 2nd serving of the sour soup that my brother found out there was a "hidden" tissue lying in between the salmons, we all then stopped eating due to the unhealthy surprise we are having/had. I rushed to one of the waiters, told the situation, they told me they are going to talk to the kitchen crew. After a few minutes the manager went to us and apologized. I had to tell him I need to talk to the crew who prepared the food. I told him what if something unsanitary is in the tissue and all of us gets food posioned? The manager then told us he will take my number so he can check on us. Was not really in the mood to thank the manager due to the situation, he told us our meal is free, gave us gift certificate and 2 desserts. We weren't able to finish our meal except for the service recovery desserts. We jusy stood and walked out of the place as we were really disappointed in the situation. We're hoping that nothing unhealthy is on the tissue. Picture below for proof.

Manam at SM Aura offers a fresh, modern take on classic Filipino favourites, making it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors looking to experience traditional flavours with a contemporary twist. My Korean friend and I had the chance to enjoy dishes like pancit palabok and tofu sisig, both of which delivered familiar tastes but with a creative spin that made them even more exciting. My friend, a big fan of adobo, was especially eager to try their version, which did not disappoint. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, striking a great balance between authenticity and innovation. However, since we visited during the Christmas season, the restaurant was bustling with diners, leading to a long queue and a bit of a wait for our food to arrive. While the anticipation built up our excitement, the slower service was a slight downside to an otherwise excellent meal. Overall, Manam at SM Aura remains a fantastic choice for those craving well-executed Filipino classics with a modern flair—just be prepared for the holiday rush if you visit during peak seasons!

I am a loyal Manam lover and I love their food. It’s my go-to comfort food. It’s my first time dining in their SM Aura branch and I had a slightly unfortunate experience. I ordered my usual sisig and sinigang, solo since i was alone. Don’t get me wrong— the taste was rich and fresh, however, i barely got to eat any meat. The sinigang had two thin slices of meat and the other i barely got to touch since it was mostly hard fat. For the sisig, it was 50% chicharon toppings and 50% pork meat (not sure if that’s the new ratio?). Informed the servers and they were quick to respond. Though quality was below average, service made up for it. Nevertheless, will definitely go back but probably not in this branch. Still a fan! ✌🏽

Food was great! Manam is reliable for Filipino food cravings, especially when a balikbayan asks for Pinoy food! Service was good that it was easy to catch the servers’ attention, but there was a time they forgot what I asked for. No big deal though, I just had to call another waiter. They’re quick to get tables ready for the next customer which is great since there tends to be a line during peak hours. One thing that’s frustrating with Manam is you can’t make reservations and you have to be there when they call you and you’re on the waitlist. But it’s okay, it’s also more efficient for them and quicker for the people present. One of our servers was KJ and she had such a great attitude. Very friendly. 😊
