When I first saw that there is an UNLI promo restaurant next to my place, I was very excited. So I went there, grabbed a friend and tried the UNLI steak promo. We have been greeted by the staff and served the drinks. I ordered the first steak: it tasted rotten. It happens, honestly, but that scared me a bit, so I ordered the second steak medium rare. The restaurant sports a big STEAKHOUSE sign outside so I assumed they were aware of the 5 ways to cook a steak. That was wishful thinking. I ordered a rare steak and I've got a done. It happens, but I kept my hope high, after all I was paying a whopping 799php, right? So I calmly explained to the waitress what a "rare" steak is and she told me she knew it. I told her that their steaks were exceptionally thin and therefore the cooking time must have been reduced. I have received my third steak rare. The center was still frozen. I'm not talking about a cold center of a blue steak, no. My mouth clearly tasted the flaky ice inside the steak. No choice but sending it back and cook it properly, so I ended up with the third done steak in a row. At that point I suggested to cook the steak at room temperature and ordered my fourth rare steak and that seemed to have done the trick because FINALLY I have received a medium well! ( see photo ) My joy was short lived, though. When I ordered my fifth steak the waitress revealed that no more steaks were available! Imagine my disappointment when reading UNLI steak and finding out that it was all a lie! When asked politely if there were other items to choose from, we have been told that anything else would be charged a la carte, on top of the 799php. My friend exploded in savage ire and went full Karen demanding to speak with the manager: we were both still hungry and wanted to eat steak. Eventually the management offered a single porterhouse steak, and I ordered one rare. When Rustic Box finally ruined a juicy, delicious porterhouse steak by cooking it, I had my hopes shattered and felt sad for the cow and the waste of a perfectly good slice of it that could...

The wait staff was nice and patient.

More than half of the items under Mains in their menu is unavailable.

We were asked how do we like our meat. I asked for mine to be medium/medium well and hubby's as medium. As seen on the image attached it was well done. I would have preferred if they didn't ask in the first place if they are not going to follow cook it accordingly. The meat was dry and if I didn't order the garlic butter "rub" and for the gravy it would have been tasteless.

There is no wifi or cell signal in their resto. There are small cockroaches...

The place looks inviting on the outside, but other than that... nothing good about it! Food was only moderately warm. Chicken wings were undercooked and bloody. The country fried steak was dry and tasteless. There were flies buzzing around and a roach climbed up on the table during our meal. When we came in there was some drunk sitting by himself humming loudly and talking with employees. I was going to walk out buy my girlfriend said we should give it a chance. Do not waste your money...
