I really donât recommend this place at all. Although it seemed popular since the place was half filled or more from 4pm to about 6:00 on a Saturday night, I really donât know what the draw was. Is a pizza parlor so rare in the Philippines that this was the best to be found? Letâs start with the atmosphere. If I need to raise my voice or strain to listen to someone sitting across the table from me, then the acoustics are all wrong. The music was too loud, the echo too prominent, and the staff and kitchen made too much noise. Next, the cleanliness was very so-so. I didnât visit the CR while there but the overall cleanliness seemed to be about average for your basic pizza shop. The service was terrible and completely disorganized. Lots of staff running around doing nothing important and ignoring customers. We were half finished with the meal before someone at our table finally had to flag down a staff to bring us our drinks. The pitcher and glasses were at the table but nothing in them. The food came out very slowly, one entre at a time even though we ordered a standard menu meal for four. And the food. Frankly, just awful. The pizza was tasteless, soggy mess with scarce toppings, the spaghetti apparently was something poured from a can and warmed up a tiny bit before plopping it into a single common bowl, and there were weird fried potatoes? with overcooked deep fried chicken that was nearly burnt, oily hard and not very good. Why does a pizza parlor serve chicken and fried potatoes? anyway? No, skip this place, not worth your money, time nor reasonable taste. The people running this restaurant should bow their heads in shame and the owner deserves to be driven out of business for allowing...
Read moreWe went here last Sept 30. We originally came from Market! Market! branch, but since they were closing at 9PM and we arrived around 8:30PM, we couldnât make it. So we searched this branch on Google Maps, which clearly said it closes at 11PM. Even the guard confirmed that the restaurants inside Venice Grand Canal close around 11PM because the mall closes at 12 midnight.
When we arrived at 9:17PM and opened the door, a staff member immediately told us âfor takeout only.â We were still deciding if weâd go for takeout (since we really wanted to dine in for family bonding), but then she came back right away and said, âclose na po pala, pinatay na po pala yung machine.â
This was very disappointing. It was only 9:17PM â still way earlier than 11PM as stated on Google Maps and as the guard had informed us. Sayang pa yung parking (â±50!) đ .
We even checked Kuya J restaurant nearby and they were still open, so I donât understand what happened to this Shakeyâs branch. In the end, we drove to Shakeyâs Buting Pasig which is 24 hours.
It feels unfair and misleading to post operating hours online that donât match the actual closing time. For context, our grandma is a big Shakeyâs fan â sheâs the one who always requests where we eat, which is why we kept searching for another...
Read moreService is bad. Really bad. No one was taking our order even though we called some crew many times to take our orders but none of them was responding to us. The table behind us got their order taken and we looked at the waiter while heâs taking their order because we thought weâre next but the crew just passed by our table, even though we called him. We waited for 20 or more minutes to get our order taken but no one was really attending to us. So disappointed. In the end, we left the place because the service is so...
