We found ourselves at One Bonifacio High Street Mall, where we decided to visit our favorite hotpot spot, Zhenbao, before heading back to the province after a long day of office work.

Atmosphere and Service Zhenbao serves authentic Chinese-style hotpot in a spacious and cozy setting that never feels crowded. Their staff is incredibly accommodating, offering water and orange juice as soon as you're seated and even helping with recommendations. The ambiance feels premium, with well-maintained spaces and an organized sauce bar, complete with a "cheat sheet" for their signature dipping sauces.
Dining Experience We started with their limited edition Stew Minced Pork, a Taiwanese specialty that was incredibly flavorful. Our table was soon overflowing with premium ingredients: USDA-grade beef, mushrooms, tofu, lobster balls, cheese balls, peeled prawns, and squid tentacles.
For the hotpot, we selected two soup bases: the original and the spicy broth. After cooking the beef, we dipped it into our customized sauce and savored every bite—it was pure indulgence!
While our food was cooking, we could order more, and their service was impressively quick. The staff ensured our table stayed clean and organized, making us feel pampered throughout the meal.
Special shoutout to their mantou buns, served warm and fresh with condensed milk. These were heavenly! To top it off, they offered fruits and one free ice cream as dessert.

🥢 Ambience & Setup
The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm, cozy scent of rich broth and sizzling meats. The setup is clean, well-lit, and the buffet layout is every foodie’s dream: from fresh seafood to premium cuts of meat, assorted mushrooms, tofu, and a sauce station that’s chef’s kiss.
🍲 The Broth
We chose two broths: the classic Sichuan spicy and the pork bone creamy broth. The spicy one brought the heat (in the best way), and the milder broth was comforting, rich, and full of umami.
🥩 Ingredients & Quality
From beef slices that melt in your mouth, to juicy shrimp, fresh veggies, and even fish balls filled with cheese—everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Bonus points for the DIY sauce station that let me create my perfect garlic-sesame-soy combo!
🫕 Cooking Experience
There’s something so satisfying about cooking your own food right in front of you. It’s interactive, fun, and makes every bite feel like an achievement. Pro tip: don’t overcook your meats, especially the thin beef slices—they’re best at 10-15 seconds!
🧁 Desserts & Extras
They had a decent dessert station with ice cream and fresh fruits. After all that heat from the broth, the cold treat was the perfect ending.
💰 Price & Value
For the variety and quality, it’s totally worth the price. Unlimited meats, seafood, and drinks? Yes, please.
⭐ VERDICT: 9/10 Whether you’re dining with friends or going on a hot date, hotpot is always a win. Specialy on rainy days, Highly recommend for those who love bold flavors and...
Read moreMy friends and I had a very disappointing hotpot dinner here at ZhenBao BGC. I was so excited to try it because it had a pretty high rating here on Google Reviews. The USDA Beef that we were served were old :( i think it might be because matagal na sigurong frozen kasi first serving pa lang, I noticed na malansa yung meat talaga kahit luto na. At first I thought baka dahil hindi okay yung nagawa kong sauce so I tried to eat the cooked beef on its own and malansa talaga and has a smell. But since we were all so hungry we just kept eating until medyo hindi ko na kaya so I brought it up to my friend that it has a taste. And we all agreed that it was very malansa and lasang luma na. We told the servers about it and replaced it with a new one and still, it’s the same taste. I think they brought it up to their manager who was working in the table beside us, but nothing happened. Feel ko kasi last shift na rin and ready na sila mag close so ‘di na inasikaso ng manager.
We just returned the meat and finished eating since it seemed like wala namang resolve yung nangyari. It’s just VERY disappointing because it’s not a cheap meal and yet we were served really bad selection of meat. Even the tofu was sour already. The fruits (melon & watermelon) were also luma na. They didn’t replace it with fresh ones anymore since I think dinner time na and they’re closing at 10 pm. We came here at around 8:30 pm btw.
We just got home and medyo we can feel na sumama yung...
