Karczma Zagłoba. — Restaurant in Świdnica

We stayed there for 4 days. Called ahead to see if breakfast offered with the room could be vegan. While the person I spoke to didn't know much about vegan food they asked me to say what I'd like to eat and wrote it down. Upon arrival cook came up to us and showed me lovely selection of vegan foodstuffs he bought for me yogurt, sausages, pâtés, milk, spread, cereals etc. He also asked of I'd like any other stuffs and told me where I can buy vegan food in Swidnica. Each day staff were attentive, helpful giving us tips on where to go what to see. Breakfast service was laid back with staff checking with us if we ve all we need just often enough for it to be friendly but not intrusive. They also are happy for you to have a long meal ( me and bf talk a lot and it literally took us a couple of hours each day). Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The only drawbacks were green emergency lights in the rooms which can distract from sleeping. WiFi was available on all floors but it did not reach our bedroom sadly. While it did not bother us it might be a problem if you prefer to work from the comfort of your room. Overall its a great place to stay, staff is amazing and you will feel welcome there. Some staff speaks English and German which can help if your Polish is not quite fluent yet :) we will be...

Large double room apartment... didn't have the slippers or robes or kitchenette that was on Booking.com as 'typical for this type of room'. No air con but there was a floor fan.|Worryingly, the emergency exit lights in our room had been painted over!||We stayed three nights and didn't have our room tidied up during that period (same sheets etc) and we had to ask for towels each day when we bumped into the maids.||Room was really quiet at night (even with load parties going on) as long as the windows were shut which was great.||Shower was lovely-really warm and really powerful.||Bar and restaurant was 'interesting!' Lots of wood, skulls and animal hides and it looked like a handset and gretal log cabin. ||I don't think we'd ever return to swidnica as there wasn't really anything there to do, but if we did I'd be happy to stay at this...
