Went with my family last night, as like to visit when I'm around. Food was very nice, just lacking salt, as it did last time. Chicken broth soup was perfect. The wild mushroom sauces would have been perfect if they had salt in them. Food 8 out of 10, which is fine. The service went ok until the last 10 minutes of our experience. The waitress came and asked if she could take the places away, whilst actually taking them away, while I was still chewing and had cutlery in my hands, but nothing left on the plate. My partner was nearly finished, there was only a few little bits on his plate, but he wanted them. I know, I should have done something at the time, but isn't that just wrong and unprofessional to do that? Especially it's not a cheap place. Then, when the bill of 274 zloty arrived, we were asked if we wanted the change, after handing in 300 zloty. I know waiting stuff expects tips, but it's up to me to say 'keep the change' or leave the tip at a later time if I so wish. I thought it was so rude that I did in fact decide to leave no tip. I asked for my change. When the change got put on our table the girl said 'there is an extra 1 zloty in your change, as we didn't have the right coins'. Ok, fine, but the change of 22 zloty was rather 4 zloty short than 1 zloty extra. We realised after she was gone and there was no point telling her, she could have thought it wasn't true. It didn't matter either. However, two suggestions: More curtesy, you're a pricey...
Read moreI have been lucky to live the last year within walking distance of Browar Miejski.
It’s safe to say Bielsko Biala is not short of great food establishments and have had the pleasure of experiencing most of them multiple times, but on balance the stand out place has to be here, right under my big English nose.
Personally speaking, service plays a big part in the experience and by far the staff here have been the most pleasant, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable.
From the greeting to departure I can feel the service here! Happy staff are a reflection of good management/owner qualities. My daughter once dropped a knife on the floor, just the sound of this triggered a staff member in seconds with a replacement:) THE FOOD: always outstanding, in every way, every time! Along side the great food, their very own brewery! Going to miss the refreshing Marcowa for now! BEER LOVERS WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED HERE!! This all fits nicely into the rustic old building with an interesting history, creating a no nonsense warm and cozy atmosphere. During the day relaxed and quiet, in to the weekend evenings alive and energetic. I can’t really comment on price as I’m an English man and to get this standard in the UK would be over x2 the price, so everywhere I try is cheap to me :) Can’t wait to get back for the ski season and many more...
Read moreGood selection of food. Mostly meat and beer related but this is what you would expect from brewery, right? 🙃 Service is really good, helpful and kind. Huge advantage. Beer is great, it really is, just go there and grab pint, you won't be dissatisfied. It's less fizzy than a typical polish beer, closer to Czech ones. Pork knuckles were great, cabbage with a right amount of caraway, skin was crunchy and deep golden color. Worth it even though I had to wait 30 minutes. Definitely they don't prep that in the microwave oven. Tartar also fresh and tasty. Soups hot and well prepared. I can not do anything else than highly recommend this place. If it's too busy still ask for a place to grab a beer, they will figure it out for you. Ahhh they have basement and upstairs...
