Quite a unique place to visit- that's for certain! Cozy, full of history and welcoming with a pleasant service. Quite pricey though! - I wish the portions were smaller at a lower cost.
FOOD: we can wholeheartedly recommend the traditional polish specials (chłodnik soup (amazing!!!), meatballs with kopytka and mushroom sauce, pork tenderloin in black pepper sauce). As far as fish goes: baked salmon and cod were served with a delicious creamy sauce but the choice of pearl couscous with green pees & carrots for the side was a bit odd - we'd rather go with truffle mashed potatoes and a side of salad. The cod was a bit rubbery, I must say. Berry compote was amazing: ginger lemonade was a bit too spicy/ gingery for our taste.
SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE: the place itself was adapted from multiple apartments and had a very unique homey feel to it. The waiter was super nice and welcoming & even gave us a little tour with a brief history of the restaurant. One downside to consider: the payment is cash only (atm available nearby).

Read moreThis restaurant was the highlight of my trip. This was my first time in Poland, coming in from Berlin to explore a bit, my friend and I decided we wanted Pierogi. We stumbled on this highly elegant restaurant and decided, "Let's do it!"
Best. Decision. EVER!
The food was beyond fantastic. From the little pickles and fat spread that started our meal, to the pierogi themselves, to the flawless desserts and top quality wodka.
Do I recommend this restaurant? More than any other I've been to in the last 10 years.
Not only was the food spectacular, the service was too. Jakub, our server, knowing we were foreigners worked out the best selections for us to really experience what this place had to offer.
The biggest shock was the price. Being Canadian and this being my first time in Poland, I could not believe how inexpensive the meal we just had was.
I was so happy with everything, I pretty much gave a 100% tip.
