The Jack — Restaurant in Kalisz

I've been their customer for a number of years and my experience has been always positive. Last Friday on 28/02/2020 I went there with my mate. Tatar meal was delicious; however waiter couldn't give us advice regarding vodka and was quite pushy towards wodka Sierakow. Then we decided to order 2 x medium T-bone “Steak Porterhouse”. We received a raw and cold meat. Staff didn't know how to handle this situation. Their reaction was the most unprofessional in this situation; “What shall we do in this situation sir, and what is your problem anyway? The biggest shock for me was when waiter called himself a comedian. Grumpy manager offered at the end that he can reheat our stakes, or take them back. Reheat? W samym środku kaliskiego rynku znajduje się klimatyczna, o jakże zagranicznej nazwie restauracja. Wewnątrz pełno amerykańskich dekoracji, ogromne butelki po popularnej whisky. Duży bar ze stołkami, niezły wybór piw, butelkowych i z nalewaka. Menu rozbudowane, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Od pospolitych starterów, przez tex-mex i burgery, aż po klasyczne steki i tomahawki. Zamówiliśmy krążki cebulowe, steka black angus na kaszance, pikantnego burgera oraz pulled pork. Krążki - na takie to naprawdę warto było poczekać. Chrupkie z zewnątrz, miękkie w środku. Black angus również bez uwag - idealne medium, i dobra kaszanka, co wcale nie jest częste. Burger z trzema papryczkami ma nazwę trafną, nierzadko się zdarza że te topowe mają plasterek jalapeño i koniec, a ten faktycznie pobudzał kubełki smakowe. Ostatnim z dań była szarpana wieprzowina - i tu miałem pewne obawy, o ilość sosu na kanapce. Ale i tu się nie zawiodłem. Bułka przypieczona I chrupka, posmarowana sosem, ale był on jedynie dodatkiem a nie głównym składnikiem. Wieprzowina soczysta I miękka, rozpadająca się pod widelcem. Dodatkowego klimatu dodawała muzyka z lat 80-tych I 90-tych, sprawiała ze jeszcze chętniej zajadaliśmy zaserwowane posiłki. Ogółem lokal czysty, zarówno toalety, sala główna I taras. Z pewnością jeszcze zawitamy do Jacka...

Ok place. Big terrace in front of the building, located at the rynek. Food is good, I had a spinach salat and spareribs. Both wereld tastefull, portions big enough. Service can be improved: while I was eating my salate they brought already the main dish. That was too early.
