Review: 1 Star
Our annual Christmas gathering at Mozaika turned into an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to share our experience to warn others.
The evening started with two of us ordering Pad Thai. The dishes were served without lime, which we had to request separately, and it took far too long to arrive. However, this was minor compared to what followed. One of our friends, who arrived an hour later, also ordered Pad Thai. Her dish was unbearably spicy, loaded with so much red pepper that it was inedible. Both of us who had eaten the same dish earlier tasted hers to compare, and it was entirely over-spiced. She reported the issue immediately, and while she was initially given lime to try and balance the spice, it didn’t help. She then asked for a replacement, which led to the most appalling interaction with the supposed manager—a skinny, short man with dark hair.
This individual took her plate to the kitchen and returned by literally throwing it back onto the table, saying the chef claimed the dish was fine. When I asked if the chef had eaten off her plate to check the spiceness, he absurdly claimed he could tell by the color of the noodles. When we explained that our earlier dishes were fine, he contradicted himself by saying that all the dishes came from the same pan—essentially admitting they might not be freshly prepared and raising concerns about the quality and timing of their food. (We finished our plates an hour earlier)
To make matters worse, he accused my friend of not reporting the issue immediately and claimed it was her fault because she had “eaten half the plate.” This was blatantly untrue. She reported the issue as soon as she tasted the food, and the dish was barely eaten as it was truly inedible. Additionally, the portions there are quite small, which we also pointed out. Despite all this, they refused to replace the dish and still charged my friend for it.
The disorganization didn’t stop there. That evening, my friends ordered tea and requested a small amount of honey. Instead of bringing a reasonable portion, the waitress brought out three large glasses of honey. When we asked why, she admitted it was excessive but said she couldn’t return it because the bartender would be upset. While this was laughable, it highlighted the complete lack of rationale and professionalism.
We should have listened to a friend who had previously warned us about this place after a disastrous company party they hosted. Unfortunately, we gave it a chance and deeply regretted it.
The only positive aspect of this restaurant is its location, but everything else—service, management, food quality, and professionalism—is severely lacking. I absolutely do not recommend Mozaika to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and choose a place that values...
Read moreMy mother and is at down to have a coffee around noon. Takes a few minutes before the waitress hands us a menu, and notice they serve scrambled eggs, and since I had not had any breakfast yet, that would be perfect. We wait another 5-10min before they come back to take our order. Ask for a coffee and the eggs and the young waitress informs me they no longer serve breakfast. I look back at the menu and indeed it say breakfast is served between 8 and 12. My watch says exactly 12:02 at that point. No flexibility whatsoever, and mind you it isn’t busy nor is the kitchen closed. You can order anything else off the menu. Burgers, salads… whatnot. But whipping up some eggs is too much trouble two minutes past noon. Never mind that we had to wait ten minutes for them to take our order. Clearly the business does not want to make money and are also happy to receive negative reviews. Had I been the business owner of this place, I would have been ashamed of the staff...
