Typical "milk bar" in Krakow and a MUST in the city. Restaurants focused on cheap typical food, based in dairy but offering more options. The aesthetic is simple: tables, a counter and the kitchen in the back.

The food was good. Tasted homemade. The portions were decent and well balanced. The service is basic. They take your order, you pay, and when it is ready they call and you pick it up. The prices and menu are on the wall. They DO have menus in English. The place is nice and simple. Clean and calm, with a lot of polish people simply eating, not very touristy. We went in the morning so some dishes weren't ready yet. I really recommend it if you are looking for simple cheap price...

The food was enjoyed by the group, so much so that the others would like to come back. Though it is agreed that the service was absolutely terrible. One of the ladies working there kept giving us dirty looks. At the end when we returned our plates she aggressively grabbed items from my hands and said something harshly. We are tourists, however, generally quite kind and always tip. The prices were great. We ordered 3 plates, two bowls of soup, and 3 bottled drinks for less than 75 PLN. If the service was at least mediocre this would be an...

The overall experience was pleasant, but overall the food was OK. Homely and traditional, but nothing mindblowing. The atmosphere is very average, as expected in these types of places. It's meant to be a quick eat, and leave kind of place. The menu is very vast and it was served very quickly. The russian pierogi tasted weird, but the spinach ones were good. For tourists visiting, an English menu is available if you ask for it. The staff don't speak any English at all, but you'll...

A traditional and authentic Bar mleczny. Simple, homemade, affordable, and truly Polish food — perfect for tasting local flavors with a grandma’s touch, away from tourist spots. Since it’s mostly visited by locals, the ladies don’t speak English and there’s no English menu. Although they don’t have much patience (or time) to explain, if you manage to translate and show the name of the dish, you’ll be well served. They’re kind and attentive. Photos and menu from December 2024.

I enjoyed everything. It was rush hour. Tables were shared. Better to have a menu translation and an idea of choices before getting in line to order … it moves fast. I attached a photo of the menu here. Or … just point to what’re someone else is eating if it looks good. Be sure to clear the table and put the dirty dishes on the side bar. Nobody loiters. Good eats and go. You too will enjoy the experience.
