Restauracja The Olive - fine jewish food — Restaurant in Lublin

The Olive is a jewish restaurant located in a 4-star hotel. It is quiet and well decorated. Food is good and price is average. The only disappointment is the service: even though waiters were nice enough, the waiting time was far from expected. We waited 50 minutes for starters (since we ordered) plus 30 minutes for the main dishes.

We ate in this restaurant twice (two people) and we had the same experience, being the restaurant full and empty.

Who adds sour strawberries to a veal rollard? It looked wonderful when it came out, but after 1 bite, I almost threw up. That unappetizing heavily strawberry sour taste immediately killed my appetite. Furthermore, it wasn't even mentioned on the menu. It said herb butter sauce and not that inedible sauce. If I knew, I would most definitely NOT order it! It is pricey and tastes horrible! The only reason it got 2 stars instead of a negative star is the waitress and the atmosphere. Kto dodaje kwaśne truskawki do rolki cielęcej? Wyglądało to cudownie, gdy wyszło, ale po jednym ukąszeniu prawie zwymiotowałam. Ten nieapetyczny mocno truskawkowy kwaśny smak natychmiast zahamował mój apetyt. Co więcej, nie wspomniano o tym nawet w menu. Mówił sos z masłem ziołowym, a nie ten niejadalny sos. Gdybym wiedziała, zdecydowanie bym tego nie zamawiała! Jest drogi i smakuje okropnie! Jedynym powodem, dla którego dostał dwie gwiazdki zamiast negatywnej gwiazdy, jest kelnerka...

Marvelous restaurant, absolutely gorgeous experience ! We had a very professional waiter, and the food was really really tasty and nicely served. Gastronomic restaurant! But it doesn't match with the standard of the hotel. Breakfast was appreciated also! We discovered a very unique cuisine...
