Do Środka — Restaurant in Poznan

In general, high quality standard for the food, brilliant presentation, fresh interior and friendly staff.

Me and my partner visited the place for breakfast on a Monday at around 11 AM. We both ordered the Japanese breakfast which comes in at a very fair price for the amount of food you are about to get.

The whole set was quick to arrive with only us and one other pair in the restaurant. A classic Japanese pancake was served as main dish with several smaller bowls for side dishes presented nicely alongside.

Ginger was incredibly fresh, which in my experience has been rare for Polish restaurant standards when it comes to Asian cuisines. The Sushi rice served on the side was on point, not undercooked or overcooked and was nicely decorated with some seaweed and sesame seeds. We also got served miso soup with some firm tofu and seaweed which was at a good temperature and taste when arriving.

The pancake itself was delicious and the only possible improvement for me might be to ease off on some of the mayonnaise on top.

I also tried their Mango Lassi which was great to order in before the main food arrive as an appetizer alongside my black coffee.

All in all, fast service, friendly staff, excellent food, nice presentation, warm interior and everything to a great price. Ended up total 111 zloty for two full breakfast + coffees and drinks.

Dotychczasowa opinia: Najlepszy ramen w Poznaniu. Nic dodać, nic ująć. EDIT: niestety ale wróciłam po roku i jestem bardzo rozczarowana. Odpowiedzialne za serwis kelnerki to bardzo młodziutkie dziewczyny, sprawiały wrażenie naśmiewania się ze mnie. Po złożonym bezpośrednio przy barze zamówieniu, czekałam 15 min na cappuccino. W ramenie znalazłam kawałek plastiku, już na samym dnie zupy więc została zjedzona. Obsługa nie chciała dać żadnej zniżki, tłumaczono że to przez wydrukowany paragon który można wycofać, wiem bo sama prowadzę firmę i mam kasę fiskalną. Wydrukowany paragon nie powinien być wymówką. Potem kolejne pretensje do mnie że nie powiedziałam o tym przed wydrukowaniem paragonu, a liczyłam że najpierw kelnerka zapyta czy smakowało zanim postawi mi rachunek na stole. Ostatecznie zapłaciłam 50% ceny. I ani słowa przepraszamy. W dodatku patrzono na mnie jak na naciągaczkę bo przecież zjadłam ten ramen. 30zl Za „bardzo smaczna” kolację z plastikiem i wątpliwa atmosfere stworzoną przez nieprofesjonalny zespol. W ramenie były pomidorki koktajlowe i krewetki w panko które rozmakały więc trzeba było je zjeść w pierwszej kolejności, smaczne jednak nie do ramenu, średnie polaczenie. bulion z dużą ilością masła orzechowego i micha makaronu, z trudem to zjadłam, a dawny ramen byl tak pyszny ze zawsze mi było za mało. Nie był to bardzo zły ramen ale nie umywa sie do poprzedniego. Akcja z plastikiem bardzo słaba....

I haven't had a chance to eat on the premises just yet, but food deliveries from Do Środka have consistently been a culinary highlight of the current lockdown. They are high on my list of places to visit once in-dining is allowed again, nicely located too by the look of things.
