Sphinx — Restaurant in Poznan

🌟🌟 Visited Sphinx in Posnania shopping centre with my daughter for a meaty lunch, as we both love a good steak! 🥩 We've enjoyed meals at other Sphinx locations, so we had high hopes. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to our past experiences. 😔

My daughter ordered the Angus steak and I opted for the tomahawk. 🍽️ While we've had some excellent steaks in the past, this time was quite disappointing. My steak was overly fatty and riddled with nerves, which was not what I expected from such a reputed chain. 🚫😞 The vegetables for my daughter were extremely oily, see pictures.

The kitchen and chef seemed to have an off day with our order.

On a positive note, our waiter did his best to assist us, despite some language barriers. 🗣️💼 He tried to help, which was appreciated, but ultimately, the food did not meet the standard we anticipated. I understand the challenges of language and commend the effort in service.

Giving this experience two stars 🌟🌟 - one for the effort of the waiter and another for the service. Hoping for improvement in the future as we know Sphinx can do better! #Disappointed...

There are many Sphinx restaurants, as it is one of most popular chain of restaurants in Poland. But I have to admit that the Poznan ones are better than others. Onion soup was delicious and if I would be really picky about it I would ask for another peace of baguette and maybe a bit of cheese inside the soup, but I had that dish in multiple restaurants in France and serving of it vary from place to place. Taste wise it was spot on. And obviously the main, SHOARMA® DE LUXE with rice this time. Perfectly prepared tenderloins are in my opinion dish you need to check if you have a chance. I definitely recommend this place if you want great food...

Razem z partnerem przyszliśmy w dniu dzisiejszym na obiad, na wejściu zostaliśmy przywitani przez młodszego kelnera który wskazał nam miejsce. Następnie podszedł do nas starszy mężczyzna, w dłuższych włosach które miał spięte w koczek. Okazało się, że będzie nas obsługiwał, po złożeniu zamówienia, które zostało szybko podane sam kelner całkowicie o nas zapomniał. Ani razu nie podszedł żeby zapytać czy wszystko jest w porządku, przed nami siedziała kobieta z dziećmi i po ich wyjściu spojrzał w książeczkę na napiwek rzucił nim na inny stolik i poszedł sobie rozmawiać z jakimiś ludźmi. Kończyliśmy jedzenie i w pewnym momencie podszedł do nas pytając czy może zabrać nasze tacki pomimo, iż widział że wciąż kończymy jedzenie. O sam paragon musieliśmy poprosić kompletnie innego kelnera, ponieważ ten był zajęty rozmowa ze znajomym. Po dostaniu naszego paragonu i ustaleniu kto będzie płacił kelner w chamski sposób powtórzył „to pani będzie placic”, nie było to pytanie upewniające się tylko ociekające ironia. Ani razu nie zostaliśmy zapytani czy jedzenie nam smakuje, czy wszystko jest w porządku czy może coś jeszcze byśmy potrzebowali. Samo zachowanie kelnera było bardzo nieprofesjonalne, chodził po sali i pytał innych czy widzieli jego telefon. Pomimo smacznego jedzenia, obsługa tego kelnera psuje całą atmosferę panującą w tym miejscu. Na dodatek to nie pierwsza taka sytuacja w tym miejscu z uczestnictwem...
