Wypas offers something like "oriental" plates where you can experience some types of variations inspired by cuisines from around the world. We ordered Korean bowl and Mexican plate and both of them were soooo flavourful that each bite was an amazing experience. Eating there turned me into really good mood! Prices are a bit higher than in most of polish restaurants(currently those plates cost sth around 30 zł) but the portions are really solid so you will for sure get filled, also all ingredients are sooo fresh. Definitely recommend!
Update: I felt like i need to come back to this place cos polish plate sounded so well for me- i really wanted to try it. And oh wowwwww! That was like a heaven for me. It brought me back memories from childhood. V-schabowy had a meat structure and was covered in some crispy shell. Potatoes were sooo smooth and tasted like butter. Cabbage was a bit nah for me but it didnt ruin my experience at all! If you miss classic polish...
Read moreOk, here we go...This fine eatery is called Wypas, which roughly translates to pasture, you know the kind of stuff horses and cows eat. But don't get me wrong! The same way grass is essential to farming animals the food of WYPAS is essential to the people of Poznan.
We ate some splendid selection of sushi that words fall short to describe and memories cannot depict! Divine and tender ginger to the rescue of those who cannot redeem themselves. Those who seek the best, rise! Dismiss your frowns and seek for Wypas on Jackowskiego. Be still my beating heart! When all the cards are down, all hope lost, all self-dignity robbed, and no groszy left to pay the rent, Wypas emerges (even in UBER eats) as the shining light from above, an oasis of flavour in an otherwise...
Read moreWas this food so delicious that we ate it not once, not twice, but three times during our week-long visit to Poznań? Yep. Our brains nearly melted out of our heads when the staff told us that EVERYTHING on the menu was vegan!! Omg.
When you’re vegan you usually end up “settling” for subpar food at restaurants while your non-vegan friends get to eat whatever their hearts desire. For this reason all vegans know amazing vegan food when we see it and it is something to celebrate! My trip to WYPAS was one of these special occasions.
I had the Japanese dish (sushi) 3 times in a row because it was out-of-this-world good. I also tried some pierogis and spring rolls which were smashing as well! The staff were really patient with us (we took ages to decide and ordered quite a lot).
I’ve told everyone back home about this restaurant and would honestly fly to Poznań and back just to eat here...
