We, a party of 2, unfortunately like quite a few 1 star reviewers before, also share similar experience with the customer service and the main server.
We were rudely refused a request for switching our table with a reason given that the service would have to disinfect our current table by just swiping it with a detergent, and it was apparently to much of a hassle, and also, the other table (the one we wanted) was for more than 2 people, we were told, so we as a couple could not switch. Then 4 min later the table was given to a different couple, so in the end it was occupied by just 2 people, I can't really see what did the server gain by fighting us on this one, just lost future revisiting customers. We asked politely and we were refused rudely, not even 'sorry'. Preposterous.
Generally I was under the impression that being customer facing was unheard-of at the establishment, and choosing to refuse in a rude manner was the preferred practice, instead of doing it politely.
They are a smallish restaurant and they probably make a huge chunk of their money on 5+ party reservations so they don't really care for individual customers, so if you are just a couple wandering through tiny Sopot alleys avoid this place.
The food was average, correct at best, which was a bit of a downer, because by having the main server holding himself in such a high regard one would expect the place to have at least 1 Michelin star, sadly disappointed there, nothing more than your regular restaurant in Sopot, and at Nova for what you are getting it was a bit on the pricey side really, just a regular fish dinner, save your money and go to Billy's near the Sopot Pier, Ferber or Deska, places that care for customers equally, and also provide much better experience.
Also as of 08.2021only nonalcoholic wine, and beer also 0% on the menu at the moment.
Thankfully there are so many different places to choose from in Sopot, enjoy...
Read moreAn Unforgettable Culinary Masterpiece Tonight, I experienced what can only be described as the pinnacle of Polish cuisine. Every dish was a testament to culinary artistry, delivering a dining experience that has truly set a new benchmark for me. The meal began with confit liver, an appetizer that immediately captivated my palate. Its richness and delicate texture were perfectly balanced, showcasing a depth of flavor that was simply exquisite. The main course, confit goose breast with kopytka and beets, was nothing short of perfection. The goose breast, rendered to absolute tenderness, melted in my mouth, its savory notes complemented beautifully by the subtle sweetness of the accompanying beets. The kopytka (Polish potato dumplings) were the ideal vehicle for soaking up every last drop of the dish's incredible flavors. This wasn't just a meal; it was a symphony of tastes, textures, and aromas that will linger in my memory for a long time to come. Without a doubt, this was the best food I have ever eaten. If you have the chance, you absolutely...
Read moreThe reviews don't lie here :) What a cozy place to eat delicious food! We were here - a family of 4. The place was full so we waited 5-10 minutes on the couch in the entry way. The waiter (owner?) then called us in (something you could expect of a michelin star restaurant). We had chicken broth and Zurek - both delicious. I had pork loin with mushroom sauce - awesome. My wife had Pierogy - great. Some chicken with fries for the kids. There is a small play area for kids. Child seat available. We played some cards (available there)... I had a cheesecake for a dessert. Everything was soo delicious.. The best part is the friendly quiet atmosphere. The staff speaks english very well.. We felt very welcomed. I visited so many restaurants in my life (including one of the best in Slovakia with almost a michelin star chef). This is the best one so far!.. Will be...
