THAI SON Express — Restaurant in Sopot

The chef was for some reason fired. The new staff refused to elaborate on why. All new faces in there and a young polish man making the food was a first warning. The second warning was when they claimed the food to be even better now.

Food was made without love and the waiting time was insane. The orders before us and we had to wait 40mins and even then they couldn’t deliver a simple thing such as rice.

Food tastes like someone is cooking for the first time and the rice was undercooked, terrible. All meat has been switched to inferior cuts and differ widely in sizes which means one piece you get is undercooked while the next is overcooked.

This establishment won’t last long in the current way they operate.

Jedzenie zamówione z dowozem, więc nie mogę ocenić obsługi czy klimatu. Jeżeli chodzi o same dania - rewelacja (w większości ;) ). Długo szukałam pad thaia, który poza jednym punktem w Trójmieście będzie mi smakował. Wiele rozczarowań, aż w końcu trafiłam na THAI SON. Pad thai z wołowiną zamówiony dwukrotnie - za każdym razem pyszny. Jedyny minus stanowi bardzo grubo pokrojona wołowina przy drugim razie, ale może niektórzy tak właśnie wolą :) Dodatki do padthaia - w punkt. Orzeszki, dymka, kiełki i możliwość posypania płatkami chilli dla ostrości. W moim przypadku ogromny plus za brak kolendry :D Bułeczki bao z kurczakiem - to według mnie słabszy punkt tego lokalu. Gigantyczny kawał kurczaka, miałam wrażenie, że kurczak stanowi 95% dania. Dodatkowo kiepskie dodatki - zwykły ogórek czy pomidor. To danie nie siadło :/ Miałam okazję spróbować również kurczaka w sosie miodowym z sezamem. Danie bardzo dobre i godne polecenia, ale kurczak z sezamem przyszedł bez sezamu. Ogólnie jedzenie oceniam na bardzo dobre. Po pad thaia i kurczaka z pewnością wrócę i śmiało mogę polecić te...

I ordered take away, and the food took around 15 minutes. I had bao and spring rolls and it was so fresh and delicious! The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and the filling was very good. The baos were literally perfect, the tofu was crunchy and the vegetables were fresh and crispy. I will 100% come back if I come...
