We visited this restaurant after seeing the high reviews, eager to experience authentic Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, I left somewhat disappointed. While the food isn’t bad, it didn’t quite live up to the glowing reviews. Having spent time in India and enjoyed authentic Indian dishes frequently, I found the flavors here to be somewhat lacking. The Butter Chicken, for example, wasn’t as spicy as expected and leaned too much on sweetness. The other two starters were decent but didn’t stand out.

We were also looking forward to trying the Nepalese specialty, dumplings, but they weren’t available. On the plus side, the prices are very reasonable. However, the service left much to be desired, as the waitress didn’t offer a particularly welcoming vibe.

Jak jestem zachwycona to lubię się rozpisać – zatem piszę. Restaurację Nepali Chulo z całą pewnością uznaję za mój ulubiony punkt gastronomiczny w całym Szczecinie. Po wielu wizytach stwierdziłam, że warto się odwdzięczyć i napisać kilka słów od siebie. Lokal może wydawać się niepozorny z zewnątrz. Zaraz po wejściu wita nas bardzo sympatyczna obsługa. Wystrój lokalu pokazuje nam oszałamiające widoki górskie Nepalu. Całość dekoracji jest skromna i nienachalna. Stoły i krzesła są solidne i drewniane. W restauracji słychać nienarzucającą się muzykę. Podczas każdej naszej wizyty zostaliśmy bardzo miło ugoszczeni. Personel bez problemu obsługuje w języku polskim i angielskim (zapewne w innych językach również, ale w tych dwóch mieliśmy okazję porozmawiać). Kelnerzy i kelnerki są niezwykle uprzejmi i pomocni. Niezależnie od osoby nas obsługującej zawsze czuliśmy się zaopiekowani, a wszystkie nasze pytania doczekały się odpowiedzi. Jednego z kelnerów miałam okazję minąć przypadkiem w drodze do pracy i zostałam mile przywitana – niby drobne „cześć”, ale jednak małe gesty cieszą. Miałam okazję przetestować praktycznie wszystkie dania wegetariańskie (a jest wiele opcji dla osób niejedzących mięsa). Po każdej wizycie mam nowe ulubione danie. Wszystkie potrawy są autentyczne – takich smaków nigdy nie miałam okazji skosztować. Bogactwo przypraw, indyjskie w tym nepalskie produkty, piec tandoor, a nawet regionalne piwo. Potrawy są pyszne i obfite, a ceny bardzo przystępne. Najczęściej nie jesteśmy w stanie dokończyć uczty i zabieramy niedokończone posiłki na wynos (wystarczy poprosić obsługę o zapakowanie). Relacja mojego mięsożernego partnera jest identyczna do mojej – pyszne, esencjonalne jedzonko. Jest to lokal z którego nie chce się wychodzić, a jak się wyjdzie to pozytywne emocje z doświadczenia trzymają jeszcze przez długi czas. Wszystkim osobom gustującym w intensywnych smakach i kuchni indyjskiej (w tym nepalskiej), serdecznie polecam restaurację Nepali Chulo. Jako jedyny minus mogę wskazać te piękne i masywne krzesła – jak się siedzi dwie godziny to trochę boli zadek :P. Rekompensuje to wysoki poziom obsługi i przepyszne potrawy (sos miętowy do chlebków naan mogłabym jeść do każdego posiłku). Serdecznie polecam ten wspaniały lokal. Jak już raz się w nim zagości to trudno udać się do innego – true story.
