Trattoria Toscana — Restaurant in Szczecin

Really lovely restaurant - fabulous decor and what looks like it would be a lovely outdoor seating area in the summer.

The food was nice but not mind-blowing - I don't think the ingredients were of the highest quality, but at least the pizzas were hand made to order, which is a big selling point. Sadly, the drinks menu was a little limited - only the house wine was available by the glass, and the beers consisted of Bosman & Okocim (both of which are some of the worst mass-produced beers in Poland) or Moretti - which is at least drinkable. It's a shame as there are some amazing craft breweries in Szczecin that make beers for other local restaurants that are so much better. It seems to be part of a chain with at least the restaurant next next door, as they shared an entrance, a toilet, and wore the same uniform.

The only other downside was the service. There were two staff serving - one was a youngish lad who seemed to be going through the motions - he didn't do anything wrong but his enthusiasm seemed to extend only to occasionally trying to joke or flirt with the waitress. She was herself more interested in chatting to the chefs than actually speaking with customers.

I ordered a Frutti Di Mare Crocantti that sides with a salad. It wasn't worth it. I expected more from a meal of 75 zł. It came mostly fried squid, just a few shrimps and that's all. I expected more, with more options of sea food than just squids. My partner ordered pork tenderloin and what we have at home is better. When I arrived, I arrived full of expectations because the place looks nice, I was even planning to have a dessert. But after the disappointment with the food, we gave up. The menu should explain in more detail the content of the meal for reducing the disappointment. Best restaurant in Szczecin. Its been a long time since I’ve been to Szczecin, and finally I could return eagerly to visit the best restaurant in Szczecin again. I’ve actually visited the place several times in a matter of days to get through all the amazing dishes. This is a great place to go in a group. Even if your in mood for late evening food or early morning breakfast. The fresh authentic Italian dishes are truly amazing. The pizza is made properly like in Italy on the stone oven.
